Only after fishing on the Kama can you truly appreciate the beauty and richness of the local reservoirs. The following are caught in the river:

This water artery winds strongly along its entire course, forming numerous holes, backwaters and floodplain lakes.

From mid-May to October, this representative of the cyprinid family stably bites on maggots and worms. During the long summer heat, he may show interest in baits of plant origin. The rig is cast closer to aquatic grass or reed thickets.
Small perch bite well on the Kama throughout the entire period of open water. In catches, individuals weighing up to 300 g are most often found. On flood lakes, it can be caught on a fry attached to the hook of a float tackle. On the river, a spinning rod equipped with a jig bait on a head weighing 5–15 g works better.
Small pike perch can be successfully caught within the city using spinning tackle.
Pike inhabits river backwaters in abundance, densely overgrown with grass. In spring and summer, it is successfully caught using poppers and silicone frog imitation. In autumn, the largest individuals move closer to the main channel and begin to peck at vibrotails and foam fish.
There are quite a lot of pike perch in the river, but in order to catch a solid trophy you need to thoroughly study the bottom topography of the reservoir and have an idea of the taste preferences of the local predator. Excellent places for fishing for “fanged” are located at the confluence of the Vyatka River. Here a large hole about 10 m deep is formed, where it stands throughout the year. During the period of open water, it can often be caught using small vibrating tails of natural colors. When fishing at night, it is better to use wobblers 7–9 cm long with a depth of up to 2 m, which should be carried out in the coastal zone.

"Pervomayka"
