The picturesque shores of the reservoir attract lovers of “wild” tourism. Tent cities most often appear on the western side of the lake, characterized by convenient approaches to the lake. Vacationers admire the pristine natural beauty and beautiful sunsets, swim in warm water, sunbathe, barbecue, cook fish soup, and pick mushrooms and berries. Healing pine air combined with aesthetic pleasure helps to gain strength, strengthen the immune system and calm the nervous system.

Near the reservoir there is something to do for lovers of active recreation. Hiking and cycling routes are organized here. Kayakers train on the lake. Here you can go boating and windsurfing.

When going to Argazi with a tent, you need to take care of firewood in advance. Near tourist sites there is unlikely to be dead wood or suitable logs, and at the nearest recreation centers they will offer to buy a bundle of firewood at an inflated price.

When lighting fires, precautions must be taken. When leaving the place, you should take the garbage with you.

What kind of fish is found on Argazi

All true fishermen strive to get to Argazi. The lake is famous for its variety of fish species. Here you can catch perch, chebak, pike, ide, burbot, ruffe, and pike perch. It is worth noting that recently the lake has been actively stocked with fish. Particular attention is paid to burbot and whitefish. In 2007, forty million whitefish and ripus larvae were released, as well as ten million burbot larvae. Currently, the lake is considered the main and largest rhipus base. Every year, thanks to the latest incubation technologies, fish farmers collect tens of millions of whitefish and ripus eggs. Those who come to the lake in the summer have the opportunity to catch large specimens of burbot, the weight of which can reach twelve kilograms. A good catch of pike perch or pike. It is worth noting, however, that the population of pike perch on Lake Argazi has decreased significantly in recent years; it cannot be found in all places. Some lucky fishermen manage to catch carp; its population here is small, the feeding is good, so it very rarely comes to the bait. Single specimens of carp can weigh twelve kilograms. At the end of the 20th century (in 1998), sturgeon was introduced to Argazi. Very rare, but some copies can still be found. The Kealim River flows into the lake, it is through it that brook trout get here, and there is a chance of meeting rainbow trout, which can weigh three kilograms.

Fishing on Argazi

The reservoir is especially popular among fishermen. A large variety of fish species are found here. Among them are burbot, pike, pike perch, ripus, perch and bream. Occasionally sturgeon, trout and carp are found. Some fish enter the lake from the rivers connected to it.

The accumulation of fish is observed in kuryas rich in vegetation and plankton. At least three of them are favored by fishermen - 17th, Klyuchevskaya, Tikhaya.

Fishing enthusiasts prefer to stay on the eastern shore of the lake. There are fewer vacationers here, and therefore it is calmer. When fishing from the shore, small fish are caught. Larger specimens can be caught from a boat, swimming to depth, or during spearfishing.

No less popular is winter fishing. The lake freezes to a depth of 80–100 cm, but due to the fact that the water level in it constantly fluctuates, cracks and gullies often appear on the ice cover.

Fishing on the Argazin Reservoir

I received an offer from a friend to visit the Argazin Reservoir. The reservoir is completely unfamiliar to me, but I have heard a lot about it. I agree without hesitation, and now we are on our way to the reservoir on a foggy morning. An hour on the road and we are there. We were immediately struck by the beauty of the reservoir. There are stones and large boulders along the banks, and small mountains can be seen in the distance. The view is simply mesmerizing, especially for me, since in the Chelyabinsk region I have been to a small number of reservoirs, but in the Kurgan region the reservoirs are completely different.

I am assembling two sets - one for 100-130 mm wobblers, the second for microjig. Let me tell you up front that I hardly used the kit for big wobbles. We decide to start by walking along the shore and checking it for fish. Not right away, but we managed to find small sites of small perch that were actively eating SPRUT HIROKO rubber in the color of machine oil. I tried to get bigger with baits several times, but the perch obviously didn’t want to get bigger.

After fishing like this for an hour and a half, we decide to change the place and generally start fishing from a boat. The boat is small, but as they say, it’s cramped, but no offense. We swim into the bay closest to the parking lot with flooded bushes and trees and begin fishing for it. Small perch very quickly began to respond to the SPRUT MIZUKO vibrating tail. From time to time the bite died down, but changing the color or shape of the bait almost always helped. Then we decided to swim to the next bay. Having arrived, we saw a perch cauldron: the perch was chasing the fry right in the middle of the bushes, it was visible how the fry jumped out onto tree branches and immediately fell back into the water, where a hungry perch was already waiting for it. Taking advantage of the opportunity, I catch a couple of perches using a SPRUT NABUKI spinner.

I try to throw wobblers, but it’s quiet. I put on the tires, and the bites resume. Perch stays locally and in small schools, both in the grass and at depth in a clean place.

When fishing one of the bushes, literally at the very first blow, a loud bite occurs and you feel the slack of the cord, the cut. Meanwhile, a friend has already caught 4 pike up to 600-700 grams. I fished the coastal zone, and from the very release there was a confident bite on the SPRUT ARU, the fish quickly went into the grass, I already thought that it was going away, but, carefully and slowly, I managed to get it out of the thickets. It turned out to be quite a nice perch weighing 300 grams, or maybe a little more.

Then again a small perch, and when fishing for another new bush, there was again a ringing bite and again pleasant resistance. Soon a pike of 400-500 grams appeared on the surface. So I opened up on the pike. SPRUT ARU activated again.

Afterwards the bite gradually subsides. On one of the wires I was clinging to something, and soon it turned out that it was a network, and its size was amazing. Without thinking twice, we put the spinning rods aside and remove it. The size of the net was amazing - about 100-150 meters, and there were several already rotten perches in it, there was nothing to save. Yes, the greed of people is amazing, they are simply ruining the fish. At this point we decide to finish fishing. I was very pleased with the fishing, I fished in very beautiful places, being on such a body of water already brings a lot of pleasure, and here the fish were biting quite well. I’m quite pleased with the result, of course, I would like the size of the fish to be larger, but then I’ll have to completely abandon microjig. Perhaps this is what I will do during my next fishing trip at the Argazin Reservoir.

Features of the reservoir

For Chelyabinsk residents, the Argazin Reservoir is the main and, at the same time, backup source of drinking water. According to experts, if the Miass River is drained, the lake’s water reserves will last Chelyabinsk for another couple of years.

The artificial reservoir is located on the largest tributary of the Iset - the Miass River. It is the main feeding resource of the reservoir and at the same time its drain. In addition, the Atkus and Kamennaya rivers flow into Argazi. In the northeast there is a canal laid from Lake Uvildy.

The first dam on the Miass River was built by miller Prokhorov back in 1853. The restoration, strengthening and expansion of the hydraulic engineering facility was carried out repeatedly. The last time was in 1982.

Argazi does not have a stable size. Its coastline is constantly changing, and the water level can fall and rise with an amplitude of five to six meters. However, the reference data defines:

• water surface area - about 113 square meters. km.
• maximum length - 22 km;
• maximum width - 6 km;
• maximum depth - almost 18 m;
• The transparency of the lake water is approximately 3.5–4 m.

The shores of the reservoir are indented by numerous bays, so the lake has a complex, winding shape. In the water area there are several curiae going into the hills, which have their own names, such as Avtozavodskaya, Khalitovskaya, Tikhaya, Klyuchevskaya. Nameless chickens are designated by ordinal numbers.

Dense mixed forests (pine, birch, aspen) in some places come very close to the coastline. From the western side, spurs of the Ilmen Mountains approach Lake Argazi.

In order to replenish the water supply during the extremely dry year of 1975, an artificial canal was cut from the closed lake Uvildy to the Argazin reservoir. After an emergency discharge, the natural donor reservoir had to recover over several decades. The consequences are still felt today.

Observations show that Argazi begins to gradually become shallow. In order to avoid the previous mistake, which led to an imbalance in the natural system of Lake Uvildy, today the issue of transferring water from reservoirs belonging to the Ufa River basin is being resolved.

There are several settlements located on the shores of Lake Argazi. The largest of them is the village of Bayramgulovo, which has 21 streets and 2 alleys. Next on the list is the village of Argazi (6 streets and 1 lane) and the village of Khalitova (3 streets). In other villages there are practically no inhabitants.

Not long ago, a large gold deposit was discovered in the vicinity of the Argazin reservoir.

The Argazinskoe reservoir is located in the Chelyabinsk region near the city of Karabash, Argayash district. It was created artificially in 1946 during the construction of a dam at the Argazinskaya hydroelectric station. The purpose of its creation was the water and energy supply of the region, as well as the regulation of lake flows. Now it is one of the largest reservoirs in the region.

The length of the Argazinsky reservoir is about 22 km, its width extends almost 12 km, and its depth ranges from 6 to 18 m. The surface area is more than 100 km², and the volume of water in the reservoir is 0.65 km3. The bottom of the reservoir is muddy, rocky in places, and sandy in others. A peculiarity of the reservoir is the instability of its coastline: it is too winding, indented by bays that go deep into the shores, and has numerous islands. Coniferous and deciduous forests descend very close to the coastline.

Today, the Argazinskoe reservoir provides fresh water to the entire Chelyabinsk. The water reserves are so large that they could provide the city with fresh water for 2 years, provided alternative sources dry up. The reservoir is filled thanks to lakes Turgoyak and Uvildy. During the flooding of the reservoir, Lake Argazi also became part of it, which gave the name to the entire reservoir. In winter, due to the changing water level in the reservoir, gullies, faults and cracks form on the surface of the ice. The thickness of the ice layer reaches 1 meter.

On the coast of the lake, as locals are accustomed to calling the body of water, there are residential villages, wild beaches, places for recreation with tents, and comfortable recreation centers. All settlements on the coast of the Arganzinsky Reservoir are connected to each other by an asphalt road.

The inhabitants of the reservoir are representatives of carp, whitefish and predatory fish, and fishing on the Argazinsky reservoir is always successful and exciting. The bays on the reservoir are well warmed by the sun's rays, and coastal vegetation is widespread. All this serves as a favorable basis for fish breeding.

Commercial and recreational fishing is carried out on the reservoir. To maintain fish resources, the reservoir is artificially stocked with fish every year. The lake is mesmerizing and attracts fishing enthusiasts at any time of the year. However, in the spring and early summer the fishing season ends as the reservoir closes for spawning.

Argazi is home to about 20 species of fish, including whitefish, rainbow trout and sturgeon. True, catching these species is not so easy. Carp fish - carp, crucian carp, bream, roach and other species of this family are caught, as a rule, in bays with rich vegetation; the predator chooses deeper places or bottom dumps in the area of ​​​​numerous islands, but also enters the bays and snags to feed on sluggish small things. Large perch, pike and tench are caught in large grassy bays covered with labza (a liquidy mass formed from the rotting remains of lake vegetation). You can catch them from the shore, but it is better to use a boat.

In winter, fishing is carried out throughout the reservoir. At this time of year, it is most likely to catch pike perch, ruffe, chebak and perch.

Islands

In the water area of ​​the artificial reservoir there are about fifty islands, some of which are considered unique natural objects. One of them - Linden Island with densely spreading linden trees growing on it - is a botanical monument. What is surprising is that this type of tree is not typical for a particular area.

Another feature of Linden Island is its outline, which gave the land area its second name - Whale. The fact is that in shape it resembles a marine mammal emerging from the abyss of the water. No less picturesque are the other large islands - Perevozny, Muravyiny, Vishnevy.

How to get to Lake Argazi

The reservoir is reached by buses No. 524, 672 and 681, departing from the Central Bus Station of Chelyabinsk. The schedule can be viewed on the official website of the transport campaign.

By car from Chelyabinsk you can get to the Argazinsky reservoir in three ways:

• along the M-36 highway until the turn to Argayash, then through Kuznetskoye and Gubernskoye to Lake Argazi;
• through Red Field and Bukharino to the intersection with the road to Argayash, then along the previous route;
• through Kremenkul and Yaratkulova - towards Khalitov.
