Rivers in Tula and the Tula region on the map

The topic of fishing is gaining more and more momentum every year, which manifests itself in the creation of new, more functional streets, baits and gear. The only thing that will be difficult to change in the fishing industry is the state of lakes and rivers, which are less or more suitable for fishing.

This material will be devoted to fishing in the Tula region, which is filled with a whole range of reservoirs, some of which are very popular among avid fishing enthusiasts.

What kind of fish can you catch in the Tula region?

Tula reservoirs are filled not only with a large number of fish, but also with a wide range of species of these same fish.

Thus, rivers and lakes contain about 50 species of fauna, including the following species:

  • Silver carp;
  • White amur;
  • Black Cupid;
  • Bream;
  • Pike;
  • Perch;
  • Zander;
  • Carp;
  • Roach;
  • crucian carp;
  • Ruff;
  • Chub;
  • Carp;
  • Tench;
  • Bleak;
  • Catfish;
  • Asp;

Good to know! Naturally, the above species of fish are only a part, called more active and distributed in the waters of Tula, because there are still many inhabitants of the underwater world, considered a “rare catch” for fishermen.

Where to go fishing in the Tula region?

The Tula region provides fishermen with a unique opportunity to fish in more than 40 reservoirs, including long and deep rivers, artificial lakes and ponds, reservoirs filled with fish, located in the territories of large-scale fish farms.

Rivers

Rivers

When talking about rivers, one cannot fail to mention the unique and incredibly beautiful nature that surrounds them. And the presence of vegetation near fishing spots sometimes even plays into the hands of fishermen at certain moments, because it is known that many fish hide in the algae or closer to the shore, where there are plants.

In order not to torment the reader with generalized information, here is a list of rivers, fishing on which will definitely bear fruit:

  • The Upa is one of the most visited rivers by fishermen, which is located only 40 kilometers from the regional center - Tula. According to the recommendations of experienced local fishermen, the most favorable fishing will be if you fish in the village of Persheno, where the bite is supposedly good;
  • Tulitsa is a fairly small river, which cannot be distinguished by its record length or depth. But fishermen can distinguish this body of water from the rest: incredible scenery around, silence, a short distance from the city, a large presence of carp, pike and bream. The most favorable place for fishing on this reservoir is considered to be the area near the Demidov dam;
  • The Oka is a river in the Tula region, which not only fishermen, but also ordinary citizens know about, because it is the only body of water in the region, which, according to some sources, includes about 56 species of fish. And although fishermen claim that the river is suitable for both winter and summer fishing, the highest catch is observed among citizens in the spring, when fish such as sterlet, catfish, pike perch, crucian carp, asp, bream and chub are very active;

Lakes and ponds

Artificial reservoirs, in particular lakes and ponds, also very often have to receive guests - distinguished fishermen from all over the area.

This popularity is quite justified: good bite, tranquility, beautiful nature without the city “hype”. Based on many reviews from anglers, the following bodies of water are noted:

  • Shchekinskoye Reservoir - fishermen prefer to visit this artificial reservoir in the winter season, when pike, perch and crucian carp are caught very well. A visit to this reservoir, by the way, is a completely free pleasure for all fishing enthusiasts;
  • Cherepovets Reservoir - this lake is located near one of the regional centers of Tula - near the city of Suvorovo. This reservoir is widely known for its fairly solid catch, which is expressed in considerable sizes of fish: large crucian carp, carp, perch and pike. The reservoir is suitable for fishing at any time of the year;
  • Bottomless lake is far from a symbolic name for this reservoir, because it is not deep at all (maximum depth 2.5 meters). The water is so clear that in some places you can clearly see the bottom. The reservoir itself is inhabited by the following types of inhabitants: pike and perch, and of quite good size, which, in fact, attracts a lot of fishermen from all over the Tula region;

Water resources of the Tula region

Most of the water resources of the Tula region are concentrated above ground. Underground, in this part of Russia, there are a small number of pools. Replenishment of resources is carried out as follows: 16.3 km³ of precipitation is formed, after evaporation 12 km³ of liquid is lost. Another 14 km³ seeps through the ground.

In total, the list of surface reservoirs within the Tula region includes lakes, 652 artificial ponds and over 1.6 thousand large and small rivers.

Paid fishing in the Tula region

In addition to reservoirs, which are completely free to visit, there is a range of fish farms and camp sites that offer fishing on their territory for free.

Setting a pricing policy is very justified, because, in addition to a guaranteed catch, citizens can receive a lot of additional privileges: the opportunity to spend the night in a cozy room with all the conditions, cook the caught fish on the spot (barbecue, cauldron for fish soup, smoking), go fishing on a rented boat or boat.

TOP 5 best places

TOP 5 best places

Naturally, this region - Tula and its environs - has far from five paid fishing reservoirs, but much more - about several dozen.

Of this significant number of non-free fishing places, the most popular and visited ones can be identified:

  1. Tourist base "Gulyaypole" - located in the village of Torhovo. According to many sources, the base often opens its “doors” to everyone from 6 a.m. and closes them around 7 p.m. Regarding payment, it depends not on time, but on the catch. So, for example, for three kilograms of caught fish you will need to pay 600 rubles;
  2. Lipyagovsky fish farm is a private territory where there is a fairly large pond (includes about 5 reservoirs, where you can fish only in two). Regarding payment, everyone (day and night) for one hour of “get-togethers” will need to pay a bill of 100 rubles;
  3. "Yurovsky" pond is an artificial reservoir located in the village of Khanino. About 2 tons of carp and 1.5 tons of grass carp were thrown into it (according to the owner of the base, Alexander). Morning and evening fishing - 500 rubles, 24 hours - 1500 rubles;
  4. “Tatarki” is a paid pond with an unusual and far from symbolic name. It is located quite far from the regional center (200 kilometers from Tula). The pond is quite young, it is only two years old, but since then it has already managed to win the “love” of many fishermen. To go fishing, a citizen must pay a bill of 500 rubles (daylight hours: from morning to evening);
  5. “Kimovsky” is a fishery in the Tula region, which is home to only two species of fish: grass carp and carp. Often, the “doors” of this fish farm open to fishermen only in July. The cost of fishing before lunch is 600 rubles, after lunch – 600 rubles. If you plan to spend the whole day with a fishing rod in your hands, you will need to pay 1,200 rubles upon entering the territory;

Prices

As can be noted from the above, the pricing policy does not always depend on the time of stay on the territory of a tourist base or fish farm; the invoice for payment can be formulated by the employees of a private pond based on your catch, that is, the more fish you caught, the higher the price.

Note! But, of course, most often the cost is determined by the time spent on the base. In any case, it is more profitable to order daily “packages”; this gives you the opportunity to both save money and spend more time doing your favorite activity.

Rules

Regarding the rules for staying on private reservoirs intended for fishing, the following can be noted:

  • It is prohibited to export outside the base the amount of fish that has not been previously agreed upon with the base management;
  • It is prohibited to litter on the territory of the base, throw food waste and other garbage into the reservoir;
  • A highly undesirable process is the use of baits and lures based on chemical additives and pheromones;

Features of paid fishing

Often reports about fishing in the Tula region are left by those people who dream of a guaranteed catch. Among the advantages of this choice, they note the opportunity to relax in a cozy room, cook fish on the spot (smoking, a cauldron for cooking fish soup, barbecue), and go fishing on a boat or a rented boat.

What are the brightest places people include in their fishing reports in the Tula region? The photos presented below are a clear confirmation of the beauty and uniqueness of the nature of this region.

Reviews from fishermen about fishing in the Tula region

I really enjoyed fishing on the Upa River. During my three-hour stay I was able to catch 4.5 kilograms of perch. I don't know if it's a coincidence or a pattern, but I had a lot of fun. I recommend to everyone. Grade:

The Lipyagovsky fish farm, praised by everyone, completely and completely disappointed me. On the advice of friends, I came in May and caught 4 carp in half a day. I came for the second time in August - I caught 5 small carps in a day. I don’t recommend going there for that kind of money: no catch, no mood. Grade:

Anton, 33 years old (Tula)

I recently visited the small river Tulitsa. Yes, it cannot be called a chic place for fishing, but I was able to build an impromptu place for myself and, as it turned out, my efforts were not in vain: in two hours my catch reached 23 small carp. Grade:

Evgeniy, 39 years old (Tula)

The other day I was at the Gulyaypole base, in the village of Torhovo. Impressions are in full swing: reasonable prices (550 rubles now half a day), good catch (4.5 kilograms of grass carp), good attitude of employees towards visitors. Grade:

Alexander, 20 years old (Tula)

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by what we saw at the Kimovsky fish farm. A large number of fish that do not need bait, you just need to throw out a fishing rod and in minutes they will bite. We successfully caught grass carp, which, according to the staff, is very abundant in the reservoir. As for prices, we paid 3,600 rubles per day (three people). Grade:

Gennady, 43 years old (Tula)

Recently my father and I went to a small lake not far from our town - Bezdonnoe. Despite the not very well-groomed condition (there is a lot of grass and weeds nearby), the water is relatively clean, you can even see the bottom. For the first hour there was no bite, then we caught two pike and 14 perch (in three hours). I liked it very much! Grade:

Valery, 25 years old (Tula)

We had a great time relaxing and fishing on the Oka River. Firstly, a completely free stay could not but please, secondly, among the catch there were 5 types of fish - perch, ide, bream, pike and crucian carp, and thirdly - really very beautiful nature, which only calmed and pleased. Grade:

Yaroslav, 40 years old (Tula)

Kimovsky

This fishery is located in the Tula region. Two types of fish live in the reservoir: carp and grass carp. This fishery only accepts fishermen in July. The average cost of fishing is 600 rubles for half a day.
