We decided to go fishing with friends this weekend and chose Lake Atkul, since it is located not far from the city (it takes a little over an hour to drive). We started our fishing near the shore in order to, so to speak, test the bottom, and later we moved by boat to the bay (it is located closer to the village).

In total, the fishing took us about 7 hours and during this time we managed to catch several silver carp and large crucian carp (my friends’ catch was almost the same). So, we were completely satisfied with the fishing and decided that we would go fishing to this place every weekend!

I am an avid fisherman, and once again I decided to go on a 2-day fishing trip and, according to tradition, I chose Lake Atkul (for me, this is a great place, peace and quiet all around, beauty!). I did not fish near the shore and first of all moved to the reeds, since it was a hot day and, as many people know, it is in such places that the fish hide from the heat. How can I get to?

In order to get to this reservoir, you first need to leave Chelyabinsk on the highway, and along the way you will pass several villages. In order to save time, it is best to turn right off the highway after the village of Selezyan and after half an hour of driving you will find yourself near the village of Atkul, where our treasured lake is located.

Karsy village, pond

The pond in the village of Karsy is a little-known, but no less fishy place, which only the locals know about to a greater extent, and this is where they go fishing, since, as a rule, there are not so many fishermen there. But what then attracts fishing lovers to this lake? - you ask.

Everything is quite simple. The main secret of fishing on this pond is that you need to fish not on the lake itself, but near the shore, since due to the characteristics of the bottom, this is where most of the fish live.

Great place for fishing. How can I get to?

In order to get to the village of Karsy, you need to get on the highway and follow the M-5 highway, which goes straight through Chelyabinsk (you need to drive through it completely).

After leaving the city behind, head towards Troitsk, after which you will pass Yuzhno-Uralsk and within an hour you will find yourself near the village of Karsy, having passed the village (the road takes several kilometers), you will find yourself right by the lake. In general, the journey takes from 2 to 3 hours .

Lake Karasevo in the Chelyabinsk region

Throughout Russia there are several lakes called Karasevo (judging by the name, you probably already understand what kind of fish is most often found there) and one of these lakes is located in the Chelyabinsk region. The lake is located a kilometer from the small fishing village of Klyuchi , and is hidden from non-local residents by a small forest.

Please note that there is high humidity near the lake and instead of the usual sandy shore you will see a wetland. So before you go fishing for crucian carp, be sure to grab a pair of rubberized galoshes.

I live in Yekaterinburg and the drive to Lake Karasevo from my city takes no more than an hour (less than 90 kilometers). The main disadvantage of this place is its swampy area, but this is all compensated by the abundance of crucian carp, which I leave with after every fishing trip.

If you decide to stay for a few days to fish, then listen to my advice and go to spend the night in the village (they will gladly let you spend the night there for a small amount).

How can I get to?

In order to get to the “kingdom of the crucian carp” (as the locals call this lake), you need to take the already familiar M-5 highway and get to Chelyabinsk, then after you pass it, move towards Kasley and from there follow the signs you will end up in the village of Klyuch.

Well, the lake itself is, one might say, just a stone’s throw away, but it is not recommended to drive directly up to it by car, since they won’t turn around in the forest, and even in a small swamp the car will get stuck with an 80% chance. In general, the journey will take you no more than 2 hours (the distance from Chelyabinsk is exactly 114 kilometers).

Where can you go fishing to catch fish and save money?

There are such places in the region and there are quite a few of them. It’s worth asking local residents first; they are usually happy to suggest free fishing spots. It is advisable to check the gear in advance, since the nearest populated area is quite far away, and you may not find shops or camp sites on the banks. They also stock up on provisions in sufficient quantities; a stay for several days or even a weekend should take place with sufficient water and food.

Abatkul

The lake has an area of ​​about 1.8 square kilometers and is mainly used for crucian carp fishing. Moreover, you come across both silver and gold equally often. The banks of the reservoir are overgrown with reeds and many coniferous trees. You don’t have to pay for fishing, but the nearest village is about 6 km away, so you need to take enough food and water.

To catch crucian carp, float gear and feeders are used; among the baits, it is preferable to stock up on a worm, the crucian carp really likes it. Feeding is not necessary, but for feeders bait is definitely needed.

Akakul

The area of ​​the reservoir is quite large, 10 square kilometers, with an average depth of about 3 m. There are also deeper places, sometimes 8 m to the bottom. There are several recreation centers on the banks, but those who wish can also relax in savage tents.

You can fish here all year round; spinners try their luck in open water; they hunt for pike, perch, and chebak. Fans of bottom fishing try to attract bream, of which there are plenty here.

On the first ice, pike, perch, and large-sized chebak bite well. In winter they attract fish with a rewinder or a bunch of bloodworms on a hook.

The lake is especially popular among spearfishing enthusiasts; with the proper equipment, the western shores delight with truly trophy specimens of many species of fish. There are also crayfish in the pond.

Atkul

In the Chelyabinsk region, the lake is popular among fans of fishing for large carp; everyone who wants to compete with this resident gathers here. The area of ​​the reservoir is approximately 13 square kilometers, the average depth is 2.5 meters. Fishing is carried out with feeders and donks from the coastline; after the end of spawning, fishing is allowed from watercraft. Most often, carps over 4 kg are caught on a hook; you can catch pike, pike-perch, and perch with a spinning rod.

A special feature of the lake is its connection with another body of water; Lake Selezyan will delight lovers of crucian carp fishing. You can fish for it using a float and a feeder, and larger specimens are caught using bottom tackle.

On the shore of Lake Atkul there is a settlement of the same name, so there are no problems with food and water.

Buldym

The lake in the Kasli region attracts lovers of large crucian carp; here, using bottom tackle or a float, you can catch specimens weighing up to 2 kg. In addition to crucian carp, there are a lot of minnows and rotan in the lake, both species are of decent size.

The area of ​​the reservoir is relatively small, just over 2.5 square kilometers, and the depths are small, no more than 4 meters.

Irtyash

Lake Irtyash is located 120 km from Chelyabinsk in an area of ​​30 square kilometers. There are two cities on its shores, and fishermen come here more often in winter for trophy burbot.

The Irtyash offers mostly free fishing, but there are several recreation centers on the banks where anyone can stay for several days or even months. The places here are very picturesque and conducive to a family holiday.

In summer, the bases are rarely empty, but tents on the shore are also common. Warm weather is conducive to catching roach and ide, pike will be more active in cloudy weather, and whitefish will be caught when the temperature drops.

Karasevo

A kilometer from the fishing village of Kdyuchi there is Lake Karasevo, the name of which speaks for itself. There are a lot of crucian carp here, and their size is impressive.

In addition to the main resident of the reservoir, there are carp, rotan and predatory pike.

According to anglers, the drawback of the reservoir is its swampy terrain; you can only get close to the shores to cast a fishing rod in special equipment, even in the summer. You won’t find any flat banks or sand here; everything is a swamp.

60 km from the regional center there is an excellent reservoir for fishing, especially there are many young beginner fishermen.

Fishing is carried out both from the shoreline and from watercraft, and in this case, you must have gear for different fish in your arsenal. The reservoir contains both peaceful species and predators:

1. You need to keep the course towards Chebarkul (all along the way you will see auxiliary signs) and from there you need to get to the Kisegach recreation center and after arriving another 100 meters, you will find yourself there.
2. You need to drive along the familiar M-5 highway and drive through Misyash, having reached the Kisegach recreation center, you still have 100 kilometers to go.

The reservoirs of the Chelyabinsk region are famous for their trophy catches of many species of fish; with reliable gear, you can easily catch large fish of different species:

We arrived at the lake around 5 am. Year-round fishing evokes many positive emotions among fishermen who enjoy winter fishing. What was most pleasing was the amount of fish, even for beginners.

We drilled several holes, moving away from the shore towards the middle of the reservoir. There was no bite. After walking about one and a half kilometers, we drilled holes, set up a tent and finally waited for the bite.

A minnow was biting, which we managed to hook with difficulty; as it turned out, the reason for this was the hook of the jig, which was too large for a minnow. We caught fish, breathed in fresh air, and were satisfied with fishing in Itkul!
