And all because modern managers of Shimano decided to capture as large a segment of the market as possible. We moved into the budget segment. They made consumer goods in Chinese factories. They did not control the quality that the father, the founder of the legendary company, spoke about.

And they stuck the Shimano logo on these shitty sticks.

I don’t claim that all “katanas” are UG. Perhaps this is an isolated case of an open marriage. But there is a precedent!!!

I, as an ardent supporter of inexpensive but quite adequate Adams rods, have not yet broken any of my 3 poles over the years of use. In any case, it’s so stupid, on casting - for sure...
