Firstly, such salads are prepared very quickly, and secondly, the dish turns out to be inexpensive, but at the same time satisfying. And this is exactly what a family needs. Such jars can be purchased for future use; they are stored for a long time. And if necessary, open it and quickly prepare something tasty for a snack.

The recipe for a classic version of fish and potato salad is very simple and affordable. It is one of the quick dishes, so it is often prepared in situations where you need to quickly and, most importantly, deliciously feed your family or guests. Any canned fish in its own juice or oil will do. Required ingredients:

  • boiled potatoes;
  • canned fish;
  • canned green peas;
  • onion;
  • vegetable oil;
  • mayonnaise, herbs to taste.

Half a kilo of boiled potatoes and a head of onion are cut into medium and small cubes. Drain the liquid from the jar of peas and add it to the potatoes and onions. Canned fish are opened, bones are removed, and kneaded without draining the oil or juice. Fish is added to the rest of the ingredients. The salad is seasoned with vegetable oil, mayonnaise or herbs to taste. The classic canned fish salad with potatoes is ready.

A version of canned fish, potatoes and eggs is a favorite Russian dish. It is prepared for New Year, Christmas, birthdays and on weekdays. The recipe is very simple. The following ingredients are required:

  • canned tuna or mackerel;
  • boiled chicken eggs;
  • jacket potatoes;
  • carrot;
  • onion;
  • vinegar;
  • greenery;
  • mayonnaise.

How to cook Mimosa with canned food and cheese

But let’s move a little away from the classics and look at an improved version of the salad. And cheese diversifies our usual snack. It will give Mimosa tenderness and highlight the taste of other products. This recipe is very tasty and I will say that I always cook in this variation.

Ingredients:

  • Boiled potatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Boiled carrots – 3 pcs.
  • Canned tuna (or other canned food) – 1 can
  • Boiled eggs – 6 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 130 g
  • Onion – 1/2 head
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dill for decoration
  • Salt

Cooking method:

1. We immediately begin preparing the products. Boil vegetables and eggs in advance. And then we grate everything on a fine grater. Why on a shallow one, because this way the ingredients will soak in faster. Just don’t forget to separate the yolks from the whites and grate everything into separate bowls.

2. Also grate the cheese on a fine grater. I’ll say right away that you don’t need to save on this product, because it adds tenderness to the salad.

You can take the most ordinary cheese, Russian or Gouda, but not cheap, because in the end it will not give any taste.

3. Cut half the onion into small cubes and place in a separate bowl. Pour boiling water over the vegetable for a few minutes. This way we will get rid of the pungent odor and bitterness. In the case of salad onions, these procedures are not necessary.

4. We begin to assemble our salad. Place potatoes on the dish as the first layer, add some salt and coat with mayonnaise. Place tuna mashed with a fork on top (along with oil) and sprinkle everything with onions.

There is no need to grease the fish with mayonnaise, as it will be very greasy. After all, we did not drain the oil from the canned food when we kneaded it.

5. Next, lay out the cheese, distributing it evenly throughout the entire volume and coat with a thin layer of sauce. Next we put the carrots and perform the same actions with it.

6. The final layer consists of eggs. We place the white in the middle, but without touching the edges. We sprinkle them with grated yolk, but not all of them. Leave just a little bit for decorating the branches. This creates a very unusual salad decoration.

7. Now place the dill sprigs on top and sprinkle the tops with the remaining yolk. This creates the feeling of real Mimosa inflorescences.

The finished salad will need 1 hour to soak in, because we grated the ingredients on a fine grater. I highly recommend making this recipe, especially if you have never tried adding a layer of cheese.

Original puff fish salad

If you want to surprise your family or friends, you can prepare an unusual dish of fish and potatoes, served as a layered salad. You need to stock up on the following products:

  • jacket potatoes;
  • smoked fish;
  • onion;
  • salted cucumbers;
  • apple;
  • mustard, sour cream, vinegar, spices for dressing;
  • greenery.

The potatoes are cooled and cut into small neat slices, the apple into cubes, cucumbers into slices, onions and fish into equal cubes. Place a layer of potatoes on a flat dish, grease it with a dressing of 300 g of sour cream, 15 ml of vinegar, a tablespoon of mustard and spices. The next layer will be fish, then onion, apple, and finally a layer with cucumber. Each layer is well soaked with dressing.

A dish of smoked fish is garnished with parsley, allowed to brew and served.

All ingredients are mixed together, the dressing is combined with vegetable oil.

To make a fish dish truly tasty, you need to carefully select products, especially fresh fish. Ideal with potatoes: salmon, saury, pink salmon or mackerel. If you plan to prepare a lower-calorie salad, it is better to use tuna. Fish salad with potatoes is a very tasty and aromatic dish. Preparation:

1. Wash the rice well and boil it in salted water until tender.

2. Also boil carrots and eggs.

3. Since the salad is layered, it can be assembled either in one general form or made into portions using a ring. Place boiled rice on the bottom.

Place finely chopped onions on top. Lubricate it with a layer of mayonnaise.

Mash the saury with a fork and place it on top of the onion.

  • 350 gr. green beans;
  • 1 onion head;
  • 20 gr. Dijon mustard;
  • 20 gr. wine vinegar;
  • 60 gr. olive oil;
  • 40 gr. capers.

  • 350 gr. potatoes;
  • 1 bell pepper;
  • 200 gr. pickled cucumbers;
  • 1 onion head;
  • 1 bunch of fresh dill;
  • 2 gr. salt;
  • 4 gr. pepper;
  • 30 gr. butter;
  • 10 gr. 9% vinegar.

Fish salad with potatoes:

  1. The herring on the board is cleaned, cut, and washed. The resulting fillet is cut into small squares with a knife.
  2. The potatoes must be washed with a brush, then boiled in a pan of salted water, forced to cool and cut into squares using a knife.
  3. Cut the cucumbers into even smaller squares on the board and squeeze them a little from the brine.
  4. The peppers are washed, peeled and cut.
  5. The onion is cleaned and chopped with a knife.

  3. In another pan, boil the eggs for about twelve minutes. After this, the boiling water is drained, and cold water is poured into them, they are cooled, the shells are peeled off, and they are crushed with a regular fork.
  4. The onion is peeled and washed, placed on a board and chopped into thin slices.
  5. Cucumbers are cut into cubes on a board.
  6. Pour absolutely all the products into a salad bowl, where they add salt, mayonnaise and pepper, and mix.
  7. Place the peas from the jar in a colander, wait for the marinade to drain, and pour them into a salad of boiled fish and potatoes. Mix everything one more time.

Summer salad with boiled fish

The salad is called summer because it is light. During the hot season, this salad is perfect for a light dinner.

  • Cucumbers – 3 pcs.

  • Fish (cod) – 300g

Preparation:

  • Cut the tomatoes and cucumbers into cubes.

Boil the fish for just a few minutes. After the water boils, cook for 3-4 minutes and remove. You can add pepper and bay leaf to the water.

This delicious salad with fish is incredibly simple to prepare, but at the same time it turns out unusually tasty, bright and rich. All products are perfectly combined, but at the same time they stand out and do not merge into a homogeneous mass.

Required components:

  • 350 gr. potatoes;
  • 400 gr. sardines;
  • 3 bell peppers;
  • 200 gr. tomatoes;
  • 1 onion head;
  • 30 gr. butter;
  • 50 gr. white wine;
  • 2 gr. salt;
  • 4 gr. pepper;
  • 5 gr. Sahara;
  • 3 cloves of garlic.

Preparation step by step:

  1. The potatoes are washed with a brush and placed in a pan, already filled with water at this point, boiled and immediately placed in the refrigerator, cooled, peeled and cut into small cubes with a knife.
  2. The pepper is washed, a box with seeds is taken out of it and finely chopped with a knife.
  3. Tomatoes are also finely chopped.
  4. Open the jar of sardines and chop the fish fillets using a sharp knife.
  5. The onion is cleaned and washed, cut into thin half rings, then poured into a frying pan and mixed with wine, sugar and salt. It is stewed in this composition.
  6. The garlic is peeled and crushed in a garlic press, poured into the onion.
  7. All chopped products are poured into a salad bowl and poured with the onion mixture, be sure to mix with a spoon.

I’m giving a holiday variation of the recipe, with layering. For an everyday menu, you can simply mix the ingredients, the taste will not be affected at all. The original recipe uses pink salmon. I tried making a salad with mackerel, it turned out amazingly delicious. I also bake pies with canned food ; you can find the recipe for aspic on another page.

Required:

  • Canned pink salmon – 2 jars.
  • Medium onion.
  • Fresh cucumber – 2 pcs.
  • Carrot.
  • Rice (cereals) – 125 gr.
  • Lemon – ½ part.
  • Lettuce, mayonnaise, sunflower oil, pepper, salt.
  • Dill - several sprigs.

How to cook step by step:

Start cooking by frying the carrots. Shave the root vegetable into shavings, throw it into a frying pan, and sauté in oil until it has a beautiful color. But you don’t need to fry it too much, just lightly gild it. Be sure to salt the carrots. Transfer to a bowl and let cool. Leave the oil in the pan.

At the same time, boil the rice in slightly salted water and cool.

Divide the lemon into halves and squeeze the juice from one. If you don't have lemon on hand, use table vinegar.

Chop the onion into quarter rings, trying to make a very thin slice.

Place in a bowl, add lemon juice and pepper. Leave the slices to marinate for a quarter of an hour.

Drain the oil from the canned food and mash the pieces.

Cut the cucumbers into strips and place in a bowl.

Add finely chopped dill. There is no need to add salt, since the cucumbers will immediately give juice.

Arrange the lettuce leaves beautifully on a wide flat dish. Place rice on them, add a little salt, despite the fact that we added salt during cooking. Squeeze out the mayonnaise and smooth the layer. By the way, rice can be replaced with potatoes.

Place a layer of fish on top, a large spoonful of mayonnaise, and smooth again.

Next comes the onion layer, distributed over the surface of the fish salad. You don’t have to pickle the onions, but the taste of the snack will only benefit from the slight sourness.

Arrange the fried carrots. Cover with a generous layer of mayonnaise sauce.

Place a pile of cucumbers and dill on top. Leave the appetizer to steep for about an hour.

After the specified time, salt the top layer. You can try the dish and enjoy the fresh spring taste.

This dish differs from all known ones precisely in the way of presentation. Large pasta shells are stuffed with salad. It turns out not only very beautiful, but also convenient.   • 200 gr. potatoes;

  • 2 gr. salt;
  • 10 gr. greenery;
  • 50 gr. lettuce leaves;

Preparation:

The first step is to boil vegetables, potatoes and carrots, eggs and fish.

After which it is necessary to clean and cool. Then chop everything together with the onion into small cubes. Pickled cucumbers in cubes. Mix all ingredients together with peas and season with mayonnaise. Finely chop the onion and decorate the salad.

Useful tips and tricks

The variety of canned fish produced, both in terms of the raw materials used and the method of preparation, allows them to be used in various dishes. Most recipes allow for the substitution of canned goods; the difference between any containing oil is not that significant, although it does affect the taste.
