Casting spinning rods Major Craft

First of all, you should understand that casting rods, in terms of the design and characteristics of the blanks, are no different from spinning rods. The difference is the location of the access rings on the forms, and the slightly modified shape of the handle. The guide rings of casting models have a lower fit and are secured not from the bottom of the form, but from the top, as if the spinning rod had been turned upside down.

Such design features are due to the need to use multiplier reels. Casting samples in the models presented above can be found in the BassPara series, these are:

  • Major Craft BPC – 632 MH
  • Major Craft BPC – 632 M

The most widely casting rods are presented in the CORZZA series:

  • Major Craft CZC – 652 ML
  • Major Craft CZC – 652 M
  • Major Craft CZC – 652 MH
  • Major Craft CZC – 652 ML
  • Major Craft CZC – 692 M
  • Major Craft CZC – 692 MH
  • Major Craft CZC – 702 H
  • Major Craft CZC – 702 X

Spinning rods Major Craft reviews

Review #1. Major Craft RTS-902MH

I own a Major Craft RTS-902MH. I fish with jig both from a boat and from the shore. Optimal jig head weights: 16-32 g. For other types of fishing from a boat it is too difficult. From the shore, due to its length, it is a good option for various heavy baits.

Review #2. Major Craft Restive RTS-692ML

I have a Major Craft Restive RTS-692ML, it’s good for twitch, but jigs are not its strong point.

Review #3. Major Craft 852MN 8-35

I have a spinning rod 852MN 8-35 from Major Craft, and I liked it, I bought it for Akhtuba and Oka. I think it's worth the price.

Review #4. Major Craft Restive 782

I’ve been fishing with the 782 model for a season now with 7-28 grams of dough. And to be honest, I was not delighted. There is a message, but I didn’t notice any particular ringing in the jig. It handles wobblers mediocrely; for twitch it is better to look for a more specialized one. I also note that braid often gets tangled on the rod tip. My subjective opinion is that it’s not worth the money.

Review #5. Major Craft Restive RTS-902MH

I purchased an RTS-902MH. I really liked it because it’s light, moderately rigid, long-range, and quite versatile. Suitable for twitch and jig.

Review #6. Major Craft Restive RTS-692ML

I found myself a universal spinning rod for fishing from a boat. Jig, twitching, spinners. I was choosing between Revolta and Restiv. Restiv somehow fit better in my hand, and that’s why I chose it. And I don’t regret it, because the stick is very comfortable. The only downsides I would note are the lack of a loop for the bait and not very neat assembly. But overall I'm very pleased.

Review #7. Major Craft MC Restive -RTS-962MH

I use Major Craft Restive -RTS-962MH, test 8-35g. I’m fishing with a jig from the shore, nothing but positive emotions!

Solpara

The Solpara series includes highly specialized tackle for sea bass fishing. The manufacturer has maximized range and sensitivity, minimizing the weight of the rods.

The main Solpara models are discussed below:

  1. Tachi - were developed for coastal fishing, so the main attention was paid to increasing the range and accuracy of the casts. The blanks are distinguished by impressive rigidity, all modifications are universal, but they demonstrate the greatest effectiveness when jig fishing.
  2. Kurodai are the lightest models in the series, universal spinning rods that work equally well with various types of spinners, wobblers and jig heads. All modifications are lightweight and have a high casting range, especially when using sail-type artificial lures.
  3. Wind are medium-length fishing rods; their distinctive feature is increased power and rigidity of the blanks. The main purpose is for jig fishing from floating craft in difficult areas of a reservoir with a large number of snags or underwater vegetation. The taper of the blanks and the increased length of the handle make the process of fishing for prey easier.
  4. Rockfishing is a model for ultralight fishing, it is highly sensitive: the rod will instantly react even to the beginning bite of a small and cautious fish.
  5. Aji is another ultralight option; in terms of its technical characteristics and operating parameters, it is close to the previous model. The manufacturer has increased the elasticity of the forms, which makes the fishing process better and minimizes the risk of the caught prey disappearing.

Dodger

The entire Dodger series consists of universal spinning rods that can be used equally effectively for twitching or jigging. Any Dodger modifications have a fast action; this parameter is ensured by the taper of the blanks and the use of high-modulus carbon in their manufacture.

Spinning rods have a powerful butt and a thin tip with medium hardness, which ensures active play with bait and allows you to suppress the resistance of large predators, including trophy specimens.

The model range is very wide, some options are discussed below:

  1. 672M – middle class rod, length 201 cm, weight 7-28 g, fast action.
  2. 792H is a spinning rod for working with heavy baits, its length is 236 cm, test 16-56 g, ultra-fast action.
  3. 752ML – medium-light class rod, length 226 cm, test 4-18 g, ultra-fast action.
  4. 702L is a light class rod designed for catching small predators with miniature baits. The length is 213 cm, the test is 2-12 g, the action is super fast.
  5. 832HH is the most powerful spinning rod in the series and belongs to the super-heavy class. Length 252 cm, test 20-80 g, quick build.

Rizer

Rizer spinning rods are another universal series for working with any artificial bait.

The presence of a large number of modifications with different operating parameters allows you to select fishing rods for small and large wobblers, lead and jig rigs, spinners and surface-type lures.

The main advantages are the ability to forcefully fish for prey, high sensitivity and low weight.

Some models are discussed below:

  1. 792M – middle class rod, length 236 cm, test 7-28 g.
  2. 742MH and 832MH – models of the medium-heavy class, length 224 and 252 cm, respectively, test 8-35 g.
  3. 702L – light rod for working with small lures, length 213 cm, test 3-12 gr.

Trapara

The Trapara series consists of specialized spinning rods for trout fishing. All models are in an affordable price range, they are suitable for both experienced fishermen and beginners just mastering catching this prey.
