Fishing in Samara: paid and free

In recent years, fishing has become an increasingly popular form of recreation among Russian men. At the same time, members of his family began to go fishing together with the head of the family - this type of family vacation, combining fishing and pleasant time in nature, is becoming so popular that people spend all weekends and vacations in nature, and also go for winter fishing.

In the Samara region, fishing has also become a very popular hobby among many urban and rural residents. Moreover, in this area there are a lot of reservoirs in which various fish live.

In total, there are more than 45 species of fish, about 20 of which are valuable commercial species. In addition to rivers and streams, of which there are more than 190 in the region, there are more than 100 other bodies of water - lakes, quarries, stakes, etc.

Paid fishing bases are also appearing in the region, on the territory of which you can not only fish, but also relax in comfort. All such reservoirs are artificially stocked with fish, and not only the usual varieties of fish (carp, pike, crucian carp), but also elite fish - trout, sturgeon - are released into them.

Fishing

Bolshekamenskoe settlement

Fishing
In the settlement of Bolshaya Kamenka there are 3 lakes belonging to the Gerasimov peasant farm. From spring to autumn, paid fishing is open on them. The size of the reservoirs is approximately the same, about 4 hectares each. Depth varies from 1.5 to 5 meters. The ubiquitous crucian carp, pike, silver carp, perch, carp, and grass carp live here. There is a choice. According to fishermen, here it is quite possible to catch luck by the tail and pull out very worthwhile specimens. Last summer we caught mirror carp weighing up to 8 kg and 3 kg white carp in Kamenka. In the water areas, gazebos with benches and tables were built, and barbecues were installed. Nearby are luxurious oak forests. Finding lakes is not difficult. From Ufimka, after the sign for Bolshaya Kamenka, turn left. Next comes a very picturesque road along which you drive for about 8.5 km, passing Grachevka, a bridge over the river. Juice. Before reaching Bolshaya Kamenka, where the forest planting ends, after the village of Sokolinka there is an ascent and descent, immediately after which there will be an exit to the left onto a dirt road with a sign “Fishing”. Along the dirt road for about 700 meters, without turning anywhere, you approach the first pond.

Shilan settlement

Fishing
In the vicinity of the village of Shilan there are 4 large reservoirs, popular among fishermen. The largest of them is the Berezovy pond, built by a former collective farm to irrigate fields. Its volume is about 1,000,000 cubic meters, the depth reaches 15 meters or more. The reservoir, if you drive along a dirt road, is located between Chapaevo and Shilan. The most diverse fish live in it: crucian carp, perch, carp, carp, as well as such rare species for our reservoirs as silver carp and grass carp. And at the same time, very decent sizes! But to snatch such a trophy, you need experience, great luck, and, as fishermen say, a special key, time and patience. But the wait here is not tiresome. The local beauty and silence are peaceful. Nearby there is a birch grove and an amazing Stone Forest. There are also a lot of fish in the pond located directly in Shilan, which is also a hydraulic structure and has the status of a reservoir. The catch of local fishermen most often consists of crucian carp, carp, perch, and magpie. Depth - about 4 meters. At the site of the reservoir there used to be a ravine dividing the village into two parts. There are many springs in Shilan, some of which flow into a large stream, the mouth of which is now the Shilan Pond. Until the 60s of the 19th century, a sliding bridge functioned on the rural pond. Currently, it is replaced by a capital hydraulic structure. If you move from Shilan to Khoroshenkoe, after about 2 km, there will be another pond - it is paid. The reservoir is notable not only for its young carp and crucian carp. This place is an unfulfilled pre-perestroika dream. At the end of the 80s, they began to build a fish farm here, they made a pond, built cells for raising young animals, and installed electricity. Another paid pond, artificially constructed for irrigation, is larger in size, located north of the village of Chapaevo. It also has a wide variety of fish, often very large. But mostly it’s crucian carp, carp and pike.

Khilkovskoe settlement

Fishing
The village of Khilkovo is located 70 km from Samara. In the vicinity of the village there are seven picturesque lakes, in which fish are found in large quantities. The cleanest air, filled with the aroma of wildflowers, well-developed vegetation, vast fields and forests will make spending time on the shore with a fishing rod as pleasant as possible. Near the Yagodnoye recreation center there is a lake for paid fishing. Crucians and carps, including mirror ones, are bred here. The depth of the reservoir is about 3 meters, length - 250 meters, width - 70 meters. A dam has been built on the lake. Almost any type of bait and fishing. Recreation areas have been provided. The Yagodnoye recreation center offers accommodation in comfortable cottages with all amenities, meals, rental of boats, fishing gear, barbecues, skewers, bath accessories and much more. Storing personal vehicles on the lake shore is prohibited. For this purpose, there is a special parking lot near the guard's booth.

Opkan Pond, Novosemeykino

Fishing
On the northern outskirts of the village of Novosemeikino there is a large, picturesque artificial pond - Opkan. The depth of the reservoir is about three meters. Carp and carp are bred there.

Thanks to the efforts of the village administration and the one located nearby, a small beach was filled, a pantone and garbage cans were installed.

Where can you go fishing in the Samara region?

In principle, as throughout the entire territory of the Russian Federation, there are much fewer rivers in this region than ponds and artificial lakes, which are often paid.

But, despite the statistical data, in the Samara region there are enough all kinds of reservoirs, on the territory of which you can do a fair amount of fishing, and, moreover, completely free of charge.

Rivers

Rivers

The Samara region has a small number of rivers, most of which are quite long and popular throughout Russia, therefore, it would be a mistake not to mention them:

  • Samara is a river with a symbolic name for this region, which flows in almost all cities of the region. Its length is very impressive - 600 kilometers. In this reservoir, the most active fish are bream and crucian carp. Regarding predatory fish, it is fashionable to consider pike and perch as its representatives, often acting as catch;
  • Sok is a river that attracts not only the opportunity to return home with a solid corner and the fulfilled dream of plenty of fishing, but also because it flows in the mountains, which allows you to enjoy clean air and unusually beautiful nature while fishing. These facts could not help but be noticed by the public, so the river was listed in the Blue Book, since in some places it has springs of clean, tasty water in its own way;
  • Irgiz is a fairly long river (more than 700 hundred kilometers), which gives fishermen the opportunity to catch crucian carp, perch and carp, the size of which is quite impressive. Besides everything, it is impossible not to mention that the most successful fishing, according to fishermen, is observed in the area of the village of Kanavaevka, past which the Igriz River passes;

Lakes

Lakes

As was mentioned, there are much more artificial reservoirs than natural rivers. So, often, such lakes are paid, at least for citizens whose purpose is fishing, but, be that as it may, it is still possible to find ponds for free fishing:

  • Blue Lake is, it would seem, a body of water that often becomes the hero of many documentaries and a kind of “reminder” of Samara, which is constantly guarded by a lot of people. But no, there is no security, moreover, this lake, even if not from all its banks (sides), allows fishermen to fish, by the way, for free;
  • Trostyanoe is a lake in the Samara region, the fauna of which includes up to 20 species of inhabitants, the most common of which are considered to be: carp, grass carp and silver carp;
  • Kazanskoye is a lake that is considered to be the most suitable for fishing in the winter season. Having spent time in this reservoir, you can return home with almost one hundred percent catch, in the form of asp, perch and pike;

Paid reservoirs

Paid reservoirs

Today, no one will be surprised by the fact that in Russia, in particular in the Samara region, there are many private lakes and tourist centers where, even if you can go fishing, it is far from free:

  • Oak Tulet is a kind of base, not equipped with either a hotel or restaurants. But, if you wish, you can pitch a tent on its territory and have a good rest, taking with you a group of friends and a barbecue. You only need to pay upon entry, and a rather symbolic, small amount. You can catch crucian carp, carp and perch in the pond. In order for the reader to be able to better navigate the location of the base, it is noted that it is located near the settlement of Sukhaya Vyazovka;
  • Kutuluk Reservoir - this reservoir is inhabited by crucian carp, carp, carp and perch. 90 rubles will have to be paid to anyone who wants to spend the whole day on the shore of a reservoir with a fishing rod in their hands. The only restriction is the ban on fishing from a boat;
  • Aglos is a recreation center located near the village of Beryozki. Daytime fishing will cost the visitor 250 rubles (from 8:00 to 22:00). The fresh waters of this area are populated mainly by carp, which, as indicated by Internet sources, are quite substantial in size;

Free fishing on the lakes

Blue Lake

This reservoir is in a very beautiful area, so it is often featured in documentaries, and there is excellent free fishing here. However, it is not possible to get close to the water everywhere, because the lake is partially overgrown with reeds. But still, visiting fishermen will always find a place for fishing.

Reed Lake

This reservoir is home to a large number of different fish, but the most common fish found here are carp, grass carp and silver carp.

Kazan Lake

Fishermen come to this reservoir mainly for winter fishing. In just a few hours you can catch a sufficient amount of fish here - asps, perch and pike.

TOP 5 best places

TOP 5 best places

Among the many thousands of rivers and ponds, it is difficult to single out the most beautiful or the most populated with fish, but the most visited and popular, according to anglers, can still be outlined:

  1. Martynikha is an unusual and, for some, funny name for a reservoir, which, by the way, it received because of the similar name of the village in which it is located. For a daily fisherman you will need to pay 500 rubles. The range of additional services includes the use of a marshal, boat rental and gazebo;
  2. Khryashchevka is a village where there is a small pond, where travel and fishing are paid - 300 rubles (from 05:00 to 21:00). If a woman wants to visit this fishmonger, she is entitled to a 30% discount;
  3. Sorokin Pond is the so-called “pay zone” in fishing slang, entry into the territory of which will cost 500 rubles (daylight hours) and 900 rubles (days). While fishing you can catch grass carp and carp;
  4. Chubovsky pond is a reservoir located in the village of Chubovka. The pricing policy is quite acceptable: about 300 hundred rubles per “daylight” of fishing. “In stock” are fish such as carp, carp and crucian carp;
  5. “U Boroda” is the only elite base among all of the above, where in addition to fishing, you can spend the night in luxury cottages and houses, go fishing from a boat, rent a gazebo, buy gear and even bait. Regarding prices, it is worth noting that they start at 300 rubles (without an overnight stay, not counting services), ending at 4,000 rubles (with all conditions);

Prices

Pricing policy directly depends on the following aspects:

  • How close is the base or fish farm to the regional center;
  • Does the “payer” provide rental and purchase services for gear, streets, barbecues, gazebos, boats, houses;
  • Is there a limit on catching a certain weight of fish (and how many fish can you take home?);

In reality, this is the case: better-packed areas with all the conditions are more expensive, less “packed” areas are cheaper.

Good to know! If we now turn to statistical data, we can easily say that you can go fishing in the Samara region for both 100 rubles and 5,400 rubles. The choice is yours!

Rules

Naturally, as in any private areas for recreation of citizens, they have their own rules and paid “institutions” for fishing:

  • Do not litter on the territory of the base;
  • Do not throw garbage and food waste into the water, especially cellophane;
  • Do not swim in a pond under any circumstances (make sure that your children do not do this);
  • It is prohibited to release the fish back into the water yourself. This process must be carried out under the control of the database administrator;
  • It is prohibited to export fish from the territory of the fish farm, the quantity of which exceeds the permitted and previously agreed limit;

Secrets of the Holy Lake

The Holy Lake in S'ezzhy is one of the most amazing pilgrimage places in the Samara region. It was here in 1958 that the Mother of God herself appeared to a resident of the village, later nicknamed Zoya the Mantis.

It is noteworthy that this story is not yet covered in the mysterious darkness of centuries - it happened practically to our contemporary. Gordeeva Zoya Egorovna died in 2006, she is well remembered by the village residents, and her interviews from the early 2000s have been preserved. “...I worked as a pig farmer then. We carried water from this lake to the pigs, and one winter, in 1958... and the day was Epiphany. Twice I rode on horseback to this lake, and the third time I arrived, I saw the Mother of God above the hole. She is so slightly transparent, taller than me, and looks straight into my eyes. I ran to the village, shouted: “The Mother of God has appeared!”, and knocked on all the gates. Most did not believe it, but those women who went to that lake saw Her. Those who knew said: “Kazan...”. Others from those who don’t believe went to the lake, but the image disappeared...” That same night, residents of the surrounding villages saw a pillar of fire descend from heaven into the lake. Also, the image of the Mother of God appeared here and in subsequent days, and there were already many witnesses to this.

That is why in the summer, on the day of the Kazan Mother of God, hundreds of people gathered on the shore - they prayed, washed themselves with holy water, but on this day the miracle did not happen. It should be noted that in 1958 this was a very risky undertaking, given the persecution of religion. Then began a long struggle between believers and authorities. The police drove out the pilgrims, the instigators were arrested, they tried to destroy the lake, and Zoya was threatened with prison. She never renounced her words, however, worrying about the future of her children, she did not appear on the lake for many decades after that day. Only 35 years later, in 1993, she came to the Epiphany prayer service. All this time I treated people with prayer.

Inexplicable things have happened and are happening in this place to this day. One day, a retired military man from Samara witnessed a large wooden cross rise from the lake. After some time he went under water. Another mysterious phenomenon became the subject of study by Samara scientists - one morning, at sunrise, multi-colored balls began to fall from the sky onto the lake, there were a lot of them, they floated on the water, fell onto the lawn, but no one could catch them. There is also a legend that one winter, the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God came out of an ice hole and is kept by one of the praying mantises in the village. There was a case when, in front of people’s eyes, a Gospel decorated with gold rose from the water. Another time a cross appeared, and behind it were three burning wax candles. And just a few years ago, on the day of the Virgin Mary, a whole pilgrim group saw a city above the lake. Subsequently, this vision was called by skeptics a mass hallucination.

It’s hard to believe in all these stories, but for some reason they are all connected with this lake, of which, it should be noted, there are a lot in the area. If we turn to everyday facts, then any local resident will tell you that for unknown reasons there are never midges and mosquitoes on the lake, although there are many of them on the neighboring lakes. The water always blooms at the end of summer, but it is never green - as soon as you push aside the algae, you can see the bottom at great depths. And, surprisingly, the longer the water is stored in the jar, the cleaner and clearer it becomes. And it can be stored for decades. Local fishermen complain that there are a lot of fish in the lake, but for some reason they are not caught. And biologists note that plants grow here that are not found anywhere in the Samara region. The pond is quite deep, and many people diving see a golden color at the depth.

What is the secret of the Holy Lake? Perhaps the answer lies in history. Archaeological excavations on a high hill near the lake showed that there were ancient settlements here. According to the stories of the old-timers of the village, hermit monks lived on the shore of the reservoir. And just recently, wooden crosses and censers were found there.

In 2006, construction of a chapel in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God began on the shore of the lake. Every Saturday at 12.00 a prayer service for health is served here with the reading of an akathist in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Separately, it is necessary to say about the local church, built in 1827. According to legend, the local mason Kuzma, known to all residents for his righteous lifestyle and asceticism, helped in the construction. That is why they decided to consecrate the throne of the temple in honor of the unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian. In 1938, the church was closed, and the last priest was shot in Samara at the former NKVD dachas, on the site of which Gagarin Park is now located. A granary was placed in the temple building. To allow cars with grain to pass through, metal ties were cut down, after which the church began to settle, and as a result, it collapsed in 1991. The dome fell inward, only the bell tower and part of the walls survived. It is interesting that the fresco of the Savior Not Made by Hands and the fresco depicting two angels with lists of human sins have survived to this day. Reconstruction began in 2005. For a whole month, parishioners dismantled the ruins: they found surviving icons and cleaned them. They are restoring the temple on their own, using donations, so the reconstruction continues to this day.

We first came to Syezzhey on July 21, the Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Hundreds of pilgrims from different cities came to the service - there was practically no space left for a car near the temple. And after the service, everyone went on a religious procession to the lake, the path is about 4 km. On the territory you can immediately feel that the local residents and the church value the shrine - everything is done very carefully, a chapel has been built, the lake itself is fenced off, changing rooms have been installed. The place is clearly marked as holy, so drunk companies with picnics are immediately excluded here. We were greeted with tables set, and volunteers handed out printed information about the history of this place. They set up a stage in the clearing and organized a real celebration! It's nice that people appreciate and honor history. We were sprinkled with holy water and everyone began to plunge into the lake. By the way, this is an excellent alternative to ice springs for those who are not ready for low temperatures - the water is very comfortable. Such a procession to the lake is organized every year on the day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Reviews about fishing in the Samara region

Reviews about fishing in the Samara region

Recently, together with my whole family, I visited a wonderful “rabac” place 120 kilometers from the city - Sorokin Pond. I can’t say anything bad, I was satisfied with everything and liked a lot of things, therefore, as a group of men, we are planning to go there in three weeks. Regarding the catch, it included grass carp (5 pieces) and carp (14 pieces). I had to pay 900 rubles for my time at the base, which is quite acceptable. Grade:

Ilya, 43 years old (Samara)

The day before yesterday, in splendid isolation, I visited the Kutuluk Reservoir, where in just a few hours I managed to catch about 6 kilograms of crucian carp and up to 1 kilogram of perch. I am very pleased with the trip! Grade:

Ignat, 23 years old (Samara)

Especially for those who want to save money and fish for free, I recommend visiting the Irgiz River, which flows through many regions of Samara. As for the catch, from the last fishing trip I brought home about 14 kilograms of crucian carp and 8 kilograms of carp. Grade:

Anton, 48 years old (Samara)

My wife loves fishing, no matter how strange it may sound. She taught me this hobby too. Now, at least once a month, we visit Blue Lake, next to which there is truly incredible beauty of nature, rich fauna and the opportunity to fish for free, which we cannot be happy about. Grade:

Alexey, 31 years old (Samara)

Speaking about those places in the region where I have already managed to go fishing more than once, I cannot help but mention the tourist base “U Boroda”, where you can enjoy a relaxing holiday in two-story cottages, gatherings in comfortable and spacious gazebos, fun and interesting fishing, like from a boat , and from the shore. Yes, such pleasure costs a lot of money - up to 4,000 rubles, but there is a compromise - 300 rubles (from morning to evening, with your own gear and only fishing, without additional services). Grade:

Alexander, 28 years old (Samara)

I would like to recommend to all fishermen a great place for fishing - Lake Kazanskoe, visiting which is completely free. That is, in addition to clean air and beautiful scenery, you can catch such freshwater inhabitants as pike, asp and perch. If we talk purely about the result of my time spent on this reservoir, now we spent 8 hours fishing and managed to catch about 17 kilograms of perch and one pike weighing 2.6 kilograms. Grade:

Konstantin, 40 years old (Samara)

Being dependent on such an activity as fishing, I am a regular visitor to the “pay site” located in Trostya. So, as a result of fishing on Sorokino Pond, I always return home with a catch, mainly carp and grass carp. Grade:

Andrey, 32 years old (Samara)

From the information included in this material, it is impossible not to understand that fishing in the Samara region is nothing more than an incredible range of diverse lakes and rivers, enchanting nature and quite reasonable prices.

What gear should I take?

Everyone can go fishing in Samara and the region; here there is a place for a spinning angler to indulge his soul, and a carp angler will find something to his liking. Fishing in the Samara region is productive at any time of the year, the fishing calendar depends on weather conditions, but in most cases, few people left without catch.

paid fishing

Spinning

You can cast in lakes and rivers; special attention should be paid to the Volga tributary; the Sok River will delight spinning fans with excellent catches. Trophy pike, perch, and pike perch were often caught here. Local fish do not have a specific preference; standard baits are used:

  • spinners;
  • oscillating spoons;
  • wobblers with different depths;
  • silicone, mainly from the edible series.

Victoria Leshchenko

I've been working hard in the fishing tackle department for the past six years. I can help you assemble almost any gear.

Ask a Question

When collecting spinning gear for catching fish, it is advisable to use a stronger base and leashes, this will make it possible not to miss the trophy option.

Feeder fishing

The Samara region is rich in peaceful aquatic inhabitants; their capture is often carried out using feeder gear. This is how they catch carp, catfish, and burbot, and this kind of fishing for crucian carp will also be successful. Fishing on the Volga using this method will bring a good catch of bream and bream.

Donkey

They are mainly formed on strong fishing rods, but the strength of the gear largely depends on the fishing location. But so that the catfish does not break loose and the burbot does not drag away the tackle, it is necessary to have a safety margin.

Most fans of donka fishing can be found along the banks of the Volga; Lake Gatnoye will also delight you with a good catch using this tackle.

Float tackle

The use of a regular float is also common; Sorokin Pond is famous for this method of fishing. Float fishing is good for catching bleak, roach, and crucian carp in the reservoirs of the region.

You can fish for free by selecting a suitable place in advance. It is important to take everything you need with you from home. Paid fishing in Samara at specially equipped bases provides the opportunity to purchase or rent fishing gear on the spot. In addition, here you will be able to purchase popular baits and bait for any type of gear used.
