For a long time, there was only one copy of the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler on the market, this is the USAMI Kumo 115SP-SR. The copy was popular among Russian fishermen, because... it was made with sufficient quality and had a reasonable price, a little more than 450 rubles. For a long time, other Chinese manufacturers did not offer a worthy copy of this catchy wobbler. And finally, a copy of the Jackall Mag Squad 115 wobbler under the Conqueror brand appeared on Aliexpress. We must immediately note the high quality of manufacturing of this wobbler. The manufacturer managed to completely replicate not only the appearance of the original, but also other remarkable properties of this wobbler. It flies great because... has a long-distance casting system. And there’s nothing to say about the game. He has an excellent, not very sweeping game of his own, he twitches well, and on pause he shows excellent rolling. The wobbler is held almost horizontally in the water, slightly tilting the front part. The wobbler is paused, without a leash, and slowly floats up. It catches pike perfectly, no worse than the original. We recommend this wobbler for purchase.

Review of the Jackall Mag Squad 128 SP wobbler. Reviews from anglers about the wobbler Mag Squad 128 SP
The Jackall Mag Squad wobbler is called the standard in its field. Only the original Japanese minnow is able to stir up the most passive predator and force it to attack the bait in the absence of a bite. In order for the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler to show its full advantages, it is necessary to use a special fishing technique, since using a traditional calm retrieve will not achieve the desired result.
This bait needs pauses on twitch. During this period, the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler slowly sinks, slightly swaying on its sides, which provokes the predator to attack. On twitch, it loudly rattles the balls located inside, which lures pike or perch from the very depths, sometimes reaching 3 meters. Traditionally, professionals recommend the following wiring technique: 2 soft jerks, followed by a pause of at least 5 seconds. You can use one or three jerks, but pauses are necessary.
The product is easy to control; the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler flies far. Its productive long-casting system has been tested and recommended by experts. The flight of the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler is characterized by stable confidence, good aiming, and almost all casts will please the fisherman with excellent results.
The sound of the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler is a separate plus of the bait. It is equipped with two noise chambers, in which the manufacturer placed three types of balls made of different materials and having different diameters. As a result, the sound turns out to be medium loud, with elements of noise and ringing, which allows you to interest the most passive predators dozing at depth. The Jackall Mag Squad wobbler features active, varied play. In the water column you can observe pirouettes, rolling, wobbling. At the same time, the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler starts up easily, is perfectly controlled, and does not resist.
The shape of the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler resembles a long fish or a grown fry, which is a delicacy for any predator. Its behavior in water completely corresponds to the habits of living individuals. The model is available in two sizes: 115, 128 mm.
The Jackall Mag Squad wobbler will remain effective when fishing a large area. It will do an excellent job of searching for prey at shallow depths in overgrown, silted and snagged areas. To work with this series, a good choice would be twitching with characteristic jerks of different lengths, which cause chaotic throwing, followed by pauses.
For optimal selection for given fishing conditions, the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler has many color options. The collection includes cold and warm colors, colors that imitate the natural color characteristic of the inhabitants of reservoirs, and bright unusual colors that can be used for night fishing. In terms of quality of execution and excellent performance properties, the bait is one of the most advanced fishing tools that can increase efficiency and provide a guaranteed result.
In the Mag Squad series, “Brothers” have two models 115mm and 128mm in two buoyancy options - floating and suspended. I have both in my arsenal with neutral buoyancy. They weigh 16 and 21 grams respectively.
The baits are made of hard plastic and equipped with three sharp and powerful treble hooks. There are not many idle bites and escapes from them. Over the years, the hooks have retained their sharpness.
The baits are equipped with a winding ring. I removed it - there is no need for it, and the likelihood of losing the bait increases.
The color range is not very wide, but it has both bright and “neutral” colors. The paint holds securely. Only pike teeth leave “noble marks”, indicating their catchability.
Mag Squad are equipped with a long-casting, balancing and noise system. And also it is equipped with rolling action. If I'm not mistaken, that's what they call her. These functions are performed by metal balls in the body of the bait.
Since Mag Squad is equipped with a long-distance casting system, they fly very well and accurately.
The balancing system provides Mag Squad with the ability to maintain a position in the water column that is close to horizontal when paused.
Mag Squad are ideal suspenders. The rolling action system gives the bait swaying movements during pauses and jerks. Even a barely noticeable tug makes the wobbler sway. Coupled with a balancing system, rolling action creates an additional irritating effect for a predator interested in the bait.
The best retrieve for Mag Squad is a jerk retrieve. It is well suited for both hard aggressive twitching and soft, leisurely twitching, with light smooth jerks and long pauses with playing along in place. Most often I run Mag Squad with the second option. I use it for passive pike, which do not willingly pursue the bait and think for a long time before attacking. With such animation, the bites are sudden and very colorful.
On jerk wiring, the Mag Squad 128 SP goes deep by about 1.5-1.8 m. The softer the jerks, the deeper. The 115th goes a little shallower.
For high-quality animation of the Jackall Mag Squad 128, a rod with a length of 190-230 cm is preferable, a casting test of at least 28g. For Mag Squad 115 - up to 20g. These numbers are average. If the test is indicated by wiring, as is often the case for twitching rods, then in accordance with the test.
For such large baits, I prefer to use a baitcasting reel rig. Since Mag Squad is equipped with a long casting system, there are no problems with casting. The only thing is that you should not use thin cords. The optimal cord would be PE2 for the 128th and PE1.5 for the 115th. For large minnows, I have assembled a specialized kit - Major Craft Beneyro BNC-702H with a Shimano Curado 201 E7 reel. This set allows you to work with a wide range of large minnows, swimbaits and light jerks.
Jackall Mag Squad 115 SP and 128 SP - large wobblers for catching passive pike. The 115th one came to me a little earlier, was immediately caught, and took its rightful place in the box. After acquiring the 128th, the 115th turned out to be a little “in the shadow” of its “bigger” brother. And the point here is not that 115 catches poorly. He catches no worse than the “senior”. The point here is the formation of an “arsenal”. Both are designed for fishing in large bodies of water. They are not suitable for fishing in small ponds and micro rivers. When fishing on a large body of water, the 128 is a little more interesting. It is visible to fish at a greater distance. Of course, this size reduces the number of small bee-eaters caught in the region of 700g. But a larger one attracts fish from a greater distance. And for catching small mackerel, it is advisable to use smaller baits. Therefore, the 128th turns out to be in my case more often.
When choosing between 115m or 128m, you need to pay attention to the gear that will be used. Under 115, lighter tackle is suitable, which will go well with smaller baits. I put the 115th in a box when I go fishing with one universal set that can catch both pike and perch.
Mag Squad 128SP matt tiger fired last weekend in Raznezhye. Yes, I shot like that - I’ve never caught so many large pike at once and from one point. I myself thought of installing it on a passive pike, selected the wiring myself, and after fishing I accidentally came across this report and realized that by chance I did everything 1:1 with what was written. After another crocodile ate it, I still couldn’t find a replacement for it, even though I tried everything I had. Other crews returned with nothing. In general, the wobbler is not only cool, but simply super. Now I want to buy several of them, but I don’t know which colors are best for summer and autumn.
Mag Squad has good rolls, Rudra does not. Rudra has to be pulled harder than Mag Squad, which means the vibration from Rudra is stronger. This seems to me to be the fundamental difference. And here we need to look at the conditions: depth, relief, transparency of vegetation. My wobblers with rolls shoot well on overgrown reservoirs, especially in cloudy and windy weather. I won’t say anything about Rudra, but it seems like they drive her on dumps with pauses, which means the vibration reaches the depths, and the pause gives time to rise from them. And the rolls play more with light, and from the depths perhaps the shine from the roll seems like a glare from the surface, but in overgrown shallow water the pike stands closer to the surface and the wobbler turns out to be on the same level with it (or almost) and it will no longer be possible to confuse it with the glare - very It is clearly visible that there is something glittering in the volume in the thickness.
Advantages: Catchable, relatively inexpensive, good workmanship.
Disadvantages: Lack of a long-distance casting system; when casting, the tees often cling to the leash.
Hello everyone and good day. Some time ago I wrote a review about the wonderful Jackall Squad Minnow wobbler. For those who have not yet seen that review, I suggest you follow the link and read my review of the Jackall Squad Minnow wobbler. I will dedicate today’s article to its older brother, namely the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler.
In order for you to understand exactly what we are talking about, I will say that the Jakal Magsquad wobbler is available in two sizes. The older modification is 128 mm in length and weighs 21 grams. The length of the youngest is 115 mm and it weighs significantly less, namely 16 grams. So far I’ve been lucky enough to only fish with the younger modification, and that’s why I’ll write about it.
As I already said, the length of the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler is 115 mm, weight -16 grams, immersion depth when wiring is within 1-1.3 meters. The wobbler has a high-quality paint and varnish coating. The color of my wobbler is purple mohican. The coloring is good, but I still painted stripes along the body for him. But the weakest point of the wobbler’s coloring is not even the “scars” from pike teeth, but the marks from the tees, which, while the wobbler is playing, gradually draw grooves on the body. This is a problem not only with the Jackall Mag Squad wobbler, and a solution to the situation has long been found. The coating in these places should be renewed with something from time to time so that the tees do not damage the body of the wobbler. Ideally, these places should be puttied, painted and varnished, although these are extreme measures. Most likely, the wobbler will have time to die a completely different death, for example on some snag.
Yes, due to its size, there are already three tees installed on the wobbler, which, however, is quite natural and usual for wobblers of this class. The tees are of excellent quality and there are practically no problems with them, especially considering the total number of tees. Sometimes, when fishing, the prey gets reddened by one of the free tees. This is very unpleasant if you are planning to release your prey into the wild. It’s especially a shame for the small-sized “laces”. But again, this is a design feature of the bait.
The Jackall Mag Squad wobbler is equipped with noise balls, which additionally attract a predator when retrieving the bait. Despite the large size of the bait itself, I would not call the noise chamber loud. There are wobblers that are much noisier.
To retrieve the Jackall Mag Squad 115 SP wobbler, you need a fairly rigid spinning rod of the appropriate action. Taking into account the size and weight of the bait, the cast is obtained at an average distance. The lack of a long-distance casting system affects it. If the cast is unsuccessful, the wobbler may spin in flight, and here the three tees will definitely make themselves felt. Most likely one of the tees will get caught on the leash.
But holding this wobbler and fishing with the Jackall Mag Squad is a pleasure. If the wobbler is in the water, then here it is completely in its own environment. Just like its younger brother Jackall Squad Minnow, this wobbler forgives the inept handling of beginners and at the same time continues to catch. Although beginners are unlikely to fish with a wobbler of this size. Most likely, the Jackall Mag Squad will be purchased by a spinning player with experience, as was the case in my case. Jackall Mag Squad is best done with sharp, hard twitching but at the same time maintaining pauses. Don’t forget that the Mag Squad in size 115 is a suspender, which means you should make full use of its ability to hover in the water column. This tactic is especially suitable for autumn pike fishing. At this time, the green predator is more than satisfied with the size of the wobbler, and for long pauses it works. For spring fishing (in my reservoirs) Mag Squad is still too big. In the summer, you should give preference either to the style of wiring described above (sharp 1-2-3-pause) or simply twitch aggressively without stopping.
When choosing a place to fish with the Jackall Mag Squad, you should take into account that the wobbler seems to be near-surface, but you can’t call it very shallow. Therefore, it is unlikely to be suitable for the shallow bays beloved by many. It will constantly catch the grass with its tees. But in places with similar conditions, but greater depth, on underwater plateaus and, of course, over shelters, you definitely need to drag it. And of course, a particularly tasty place for fishing with the Jackall Mag Squad is the edge of aquatic vegetation. It’s along it at a distance of 0.5-1 meter that you should try to place the wobbler.
The main trophy when fishing with Jackall Mag Squad is pike. The size of the bait is suitable for her, and the depth at which the wobbler goes. Frankly speaking, I didn’t come across anything other than pike on Magsquad. Pike perch and catfish are lower, our perch is small. But as for the pike, I was not disappointed. Often the pike bites at least one and a half kilograms on it. “Pencils” sometimes come across, but very rarely, which, however, I’m only happy about.
The Jackall Mag Squad wobbler did not disappoint me. Just as I was pleased with the Squad Minnow, I am also pleased with this one. Catches pike with a bang. The only disadvantage of the wobbler is its design features, which sometimes make it inconvenient to catch in practice. To be fair, I give it a four. At least the wobbler is very catchy!
Time of use: 1 year Cost: 720 rub. Year of manufacture/purchase: 2015
Pros: Pike are crazy about it! Very high quality made. The factory is located in Japan. Very catchy. Disadvantages: Price, rarely available in stores, winding nose ring - remove!
Last year, there was a shortage of “orbits” in stores, and when I saw it on the counter in gb ayu color, I decided to buy it! It looks like a small fish with an olive back and slightly silvery sides. I think I'll go to the lake to test it in the summer. Arriving at the lake in the summer in mid-June, the first thing I did was take it out, attach it to a braided line with a 15 cm titanium leash, and throw it into the lake. Having deepened it by about 1 meter, I started twitching it and on the second or third poke a gram 700 pike landed on it. And away we go! In two hours, 27 pike were caught, weighing from 600-800 grams (these are the largest there are).
The largest one I took was 1500 grams. But I didn’t resist! They even took it on evenly. At first I thought that the bite was very good today and I was lucky! But upon arriving home, I googled the Internet, and it turned out that it was available not only in my country, but throughout Russia, Ukraine, etc. etc. Subsequently, there were more and more fishermen in these places, and the most important thing was poachers with nets!!! Accordingly, the catches became several times smaller. But still, he flies first - as an indicator of the presence of pike in this place! It's a problem in stores! - It happens very rarely. Natural colors - during the day with fire... The wobbler has a noise chamber with glass balls inside. Apparently this sound irritates the pike the most, because when I set a quiet orbit, there were bites, but less often. The wobbler can be deepened to 1.5 meters. In my conditions it is an ideal suspender.
It has average characteristics in terms of play and noise. And high performance in terms of catchability!!! Even in the most sluggish bite, I’ll catch one pike. It has a long-casting system in the form of two tungsten balls that roll into the tail during casting. Wobbler size 115 mm. It is painted with very high quality: the paint after pike teeth is not torn off by painters or chipped. I fish at depths from 0.5 to 1.5 meters. Twitch with single pokes, so that he begins to make a non-sweeping Christmas tree.
Written from the heart, don’t take it as advertising. I’ll add a photo of the bitten wobbler later. I took another 128mm mag squad, I’ll test it in the summer and report back later! Twitch with a fast action spinning rod, length 210 cm, test 10-40. (They also use a 130 mm wobbler twitch). After all, the Japanese put their soul into making baits, polishing them, testing them on fish, and after that they release them for sale. Plus, the quality of workmanship does not “lag” from batch to batch and is always stable, unlike Chinese fakes in which only the shape of the bait is copied, and not its action and internal components!
Advantages: This is a real plus, it flies great, and most importantly, it catches great. Cons: No cons for me
I have been using this wobbler for several years now. I bought Jackall Mag Squad 128SP for a new stick with 7-28 test, color voba silver black. The wobbler works 100%, and for those who cling to the leashes, I would advise you to remove the winding ring if you use steel leashes.
The Japanese are testing wobblers without leashes because they mainly catch bass. In general, without a winding ring it will cling less and its weight will be a little closer to the original one. That is, the game will be saved as the manufacturer intended.
Also regarding hooks and overlaps, basically all wobblers longer than 100 millimeters suffer from this disease, and the hooks on almost all of them scratch the body. Therefore, I cannot attribute this to disadvantages.
