Ideas for using cans and jars

Have a desire, but no money? Common situation? Don’t worry, you can also make a catchy lure from what you find at hand. We offer THREE cool options!

Hello everyone, today we will learn how to make THREE different spinners from scrap materials, which, under certain circumstances, will make the perch bite like a machine gun.

How to make a spinner out of a beer cork

Let's start with one of the simplest and most understandable options - a spinner made from a beer cork. There is nothing difficult about making it. You will only need to prepare materials and tools. Required:

  • Beer stopper;
  • Winding ring;
  • Swivel;
  • Three weights in the shape of balls;
  • Pliers;
  • Drill + thin metal drill bit.

Step-by-step instruction.

  1. The first thing to do is bend the beer cap so that it resembles an open shell. We put three of our sinker balls inside and close the lid all the way. The point is to make the balls rattle inside.
  2. Next, using a metal drill, we make holes at the top and bottom of the future spinner. We insert a swivel into the upper ring and into the lower ring. We attach a leash to the swivel if we are going for a pike, a cord or fishing line if our goal is perch. There is a tee to the ring.

That's all, nothing complicated, you can go fishing!

DIY coin spinner

A very simple and cool way to make a spinner from scrap materials. As in the first case, first you will need to prepare everything you need.

  • 3 coins of the same denomination;
  • 4 winding rings;
  • Tee;
  • Drill + metal drill bit.

Step-by-step instruction.

  1. First, we make holes in each coin. The holes must be strictly opposite each other. Next, we fasten the coins to each other - a train.
  2. We install the tee.

Well, that's all, now you can color the coins or use them just like that. As practice shows, perch, under a certain set of circumstances, rushes to this bait as if scalded.

Spoon spoon. Step-by-step instruction

The final, third way to make a lure for perch from scrap materials is from a spoon. As in the previous two, everything is as simple as possible, you just need to prepare all the consumables and tools in advance.

  • Tea spoon;
  • Bulgarian;
  • Drill + metal drill;
  • Winding ring;
  • Swivel;
  • Tee.

Step-by-step instruction.

  1. As you may have guessed from the photo, I’ll cut off the handle of the spoon and sand the saw area.
  2. We drill two holes. One for the tee, the second for the ring.
  3. We install a tee to the ring.

You can decorate the spoon or add decor to it as in the photo. In any case, she will play during the wiring, which will undoubtedly attract the predator.

Have you tried making a spinner with your own hands?

Friends, now we have a question for you. We know that these three options are far from a definitive list of possible ways to make spinners from scrap materials.

Have you ever heard what can be done from a toothbrush, battery, stationery or even from a telephone... Instructions can be both practical and fantastic (provided that you really followed them)...

Therefore, I would like to know which options our fishermen prefer? So to speak, are there any domestic developments?

In x below you can tell about your vision of this issue. You can describe the process completely, or you can describe it in a couple of sentences, it doesn’t matter. The main thing is that beginners should not be afraid of excrement and rely on your useful comments.

The process of making a homemade perch spoon from a beer cork:

To make the first spoon, you need to cut a suitable piece of wire and use semicircular pliers to form a hook ring. An old and unnecessary spinner should not be completely disassembled, but only the weighting element should be removed.

In both cases, it is necessary to crush the beer caps in half and place 3-4 lead balls inside the resulting “shells”, which will rattle when inserted and attract the attention of striped hunters.

After this, you need to insert the steel base of an old spoon and a cut piece of wire into the beer caps. Using pliers, press down the “shells” so that the lead balls do not get lost and the beer caps are fixed.

The option based on the use of an old rotating spoon is ready and can already be used directly for its intended purpose. We continue to refine the second spinner.

To do this, we make a second hook ring at the free end of the wire.

Then we attach the tee using a winding ring and a swivel with a clasp.

We get an excellent option, completely made by ourselves.

Both perch spoons made from beer caps show decent results when catching perch.

Beer cork spinners

It has always been interesting for me not to get acquainted with the assortment of fishing stores, but to spy on what people do with their own hands, how they find unexpected and very original uses for familiar things.

There is so much gear that we use on almost every fishing trip, but some craftsman adds his own little touch and the gear is transformed.

And homemade predator baits are worth it! There are so many things that spinners, spinners, and wobblers are made from, and what combinations of materials you can find.

On one Western website I came across a funny device: a spinner made from... a beer bottle cap! After digging around a little more, I read that this thing is somewhat popular among American and Canadian “lefties,” and comrades who are interested in methods of human survival in the wild consider this bait to be a very successful means of solving the food problem.

  • So, what do craftsmen do?
  • Here is an example of a “pinwheel”, which is called Flying Fish.

It looks funny, but it is not yet possible to find out how it works and whether it is possible to catch anything with it. I am tormented by vague doubts that this is a good idea, but if someone does it and submits a report, respect to him and, as they say, respect.

Go ahead. One North American site is entirely dedicated to fishing with lures, the key element of which is a beer cap.

This bait is called The Redneck Fishing Lure, which can literally be translated as “Redneck Spoon.”

No, the site doesn’t tell you how to make it (what is there to tell, exactly?), but they profess a purely American approach: they sell finished products.

A pack of 6 spinners costs $30, shipping is free. Don't believe that it really works? Here's a beautifully shot video, so bring your money
