Arbitrariness on the reservoirs of the Krasnodar Territory

Once, an Englishman, a representative of the company Preston Innovations, while in St. Petersburg, asked where the most exciting fishing is in Russia. It’s funny that the question was asked in our “northern Venice,” but those who answered immediately named the Krasnodar region.

And here it is difficult to argue: this region is truly unique, where in one day you can experience different seasons and change several climates, and the most diverse fish are caught - sea, freshwater, predatory, and herbivorous. The reservoirs of the Krasnodar Territory are simply created for fishing ; even on the smallest of them you are sure to meet an angler.

For most people who like to sit with a fishing rod, the best vacation at any time of the year is not distant foreign exoticism, but fishing in the Krasnodar Territory . Therefore, we will present you with an overview of the most popular fishing spots in the region. For convenience, we will divide them into paid and free.

Free fishing spots

One look at the map of the region makes it clear that there are a lot of places for free fishing here. The entire territory is lavishly decorated with ponds. And these are not only the usual ponds, rivers and lakes on the plains, but also mountain streams, reservoirs and even the sea - there can be a good catch everywhere.

There are a huge number of free places on the reservoirs of the Krasnodar Territory

All that remains is to find a place where there is a flat bottom, convenient access, a good shore, and most importantly, where there is a bite. Of course, there is a greater guarantee on paid stocked ponds, but many experienced fishermen are confident that “wild” fish tastes better.

Kuban River near Temryuk

Free places in the Krasnodar Territory should be opened from the Temryuk region - perhaps the most fishing place in the Kuban. Here the famous river carries its waters, as well as an abundance of estuaries, which are rich in many species of fish. There is fishing for perch, silver bream, carp, asp, mullet, bream and bream, pike perch, roach, and bleak.

There are species that are rarely seen elsewhere - sabrefish, Caucasian chub, Kuban barbel and Kuban shemaya. Experienced fishermen from all over the country come here. There is a serious hunt for large specimens; a beginner cannot always cope with them.

Caucasian chub are caught using spinning rods and fly fishing (without a float and a sinker for bait in the form of an artificial insect); other methods are ineffective. Kuban barbel is caught on bottom gear. The Kuban Shemaya is an active and sociable fish that stays in a school.

Float tackle will be suitable, there will be no time left for boredom. Chekhon is perhaps the most valuable species of carp, and in the Temryuk area you can come across fish weighing over 1 kg. You need to catch it in the spring with bottom tackle, and with the onset of autumn - with a spinning rod.

Liman Bashtovy

All fishermen come here, as many are aware of the large catches. Both predatory and “peaceful” fish are richly represented here. The “queen” of the estuary is rightfully recognized as the pike, which grows here up to 7 kg. There are few free places, but if you ask around, you can decide.

Estuary Bolshoy Chervonny

Not far from the village of the same name and Temryuk Bay. The real masters of these waters are perch and pike, whose weight exceeds 5 kg. And this, as you know, is under the control of the Rybnadzor. Therefore, in fact, there are more conditions for sport fishing there.

Liman Akhtanizovsky

Liman Akhtanizovsky is a legend for fishing lovers. A wide variety of fish live there, so the place is a magnet for both aborigines and anglers arriving from distant corners of the country. Fishing here is very exciting and unpredictable, as the bottom has a complex topography. They often fish there from a boat.

"Brick"

Krasnodar residents do not have to travel far to fish all year round. Right along the coastline (and it stretches 235 km), you can settle down with a fishing rod. The downside is there is nowhere to hide from the sun or wind. Plus – the bite is good all summer and autumn.

We are going to the old bed of the Kuban. Near the brick factory, almost all the fish that are found in the river are caught. The disadvantage is that there are no shallows, so large individuals stay closer to the eastern shore. There is a wall of stones, near it there are dilapidated boats and barges.

Fishing here is free, but pike, catfish, perch, asp and crucian carp do not know about this and tend to come here. There is a lot of grass there, the water warms up well, so fishing is promising. It's easy to get there directly by minibus or bus.

"Treatment"

On the old riverbed of the Kuban, on Kubanonaberezhnaya Street, right within the city limits there is another fishing place. Quite overgrown, but there are many clearings in the grassy thickets. You can catch small pike. Crucian carp, perch and small catfish are also caught here. But in general, the fish is what’s in the Kuban River.

On Zamanukha you can fish both from the shore and from a boat

"Reset"

In Krasnodar, at the end of Voronezhskaya Street, also on the old riverbed, there is a good fishing place, known to few - “Reset”. All the fish typical of the Kuban River are found here.

"Elizabeth"

Not far from Elizavetinskaya station, first on asphalt, then on gravel. This is a great place, but sometimes you have to be “on duty” to get it. If you go upstream a little, there is a dirt road and you won’t be able to get through it in the rain.

Near the village of Kazakovo

A cozy bay that attracts fish. There they took sand onto the dam, so there are a lot of holes in the bottom topography, and there are also piles driven in there, around which large fish live. You can get there not only by car, but also by bus to Adygeisk, get off in front of the city on the rise.

Village Divnomorskoe

The Black Sea coast, not far from Gelendzhik, is not only a wonderful resort place, but also excellent mullet fishing, especially closer to autumn. They take it on a feeder from 3 m, with dough. Locals fish with sbirulino bombarda, a spinning rig that is used together with light bait to increase casting distance.

Details Category: Carp Carp
is found in the rivers of the European part of Russia, which also includes the Krasnodar region, and its subspecies inhabit the rivers of the Aral Sea, the Amur and its tributaries.

In the spring, carp come to shallow areas of rivers and graze among the remains of last year’s vegetation and young shoots of cattails and reeds that have begun to sprout. These sweet sprouts are the favorite food of carp at this time, as well as at the very beginning of summer. Spawning also occurs here. As the water warms up, the fish move to deep places where they spend most of the day. In autumn, carp migrate downstream in search of wintering holes, where they practically do not feed during the cold season.

The search for carp begins with searching for the deepest places in the rivers of the Kuban , for fishing with available gear. This can be done from a boat using any line with a suitable sinker, or using a long casting rod. Sometimes the carp shows its sites by itself, jumping out of the water. In summer, when the water temperature exceeds 20 degrees, large individuals can be detected precisely by this characteristic fight.

Before going to feed, the fish jump out directly above their permanent habitat. As a rule, this is a deep hole into which they hide at the slightest threat. Slough, stones and all kinds of debris accumulate at depth, which makes carp sites completely inaccessible to gear .

The usual depth at which carp are caught is 4-7m. But in a strong wind, the fish can go to the reeds and to a depth of 0.5 m. This behavior may be due to the abundant supply of oxygen to the surface layer. In hot weather, carp can walk for a long time in the reeds, where it is not so hot, there is a lot of food and plenty of shade.

When determining the optimal time for catching carp, it should be taken into account that it is most active from 8 pm to morning, less active from 10 am to 2 pm. Many years of practice confirms that it is during these hours that almost all carp fish are most successfully caught .

Catching carp on a donk in the Krasnodar region

All donks, starting from the simplest two-hook and ending with a carousel and a modern bottom fishing rod equipped with a boilie, traditionally occupy first place among the gear used when catching this cautious and strong fish. Recently, the English method of fishing has become increasingly widespread, using a Feeder type rod - with a feeder placed directly on the tackle near the hook.

Bottom tackle fishing both from the shore and from a boat. In the latter case, they are caught in the middle reaches, where the fish are not so wary of the moving bait, oscillating by the current of water. The fishing lines used for carp fishing must be as strong as possible, which makes a modern cord—braided fishing line—virtually indispensable in this role. Special hooks are used, carp. They are distinguished, in addition to increased strength, by a short fore-end and the presence of notches on both the sting and the fore-end.

Catching carp with float rods in the Krasnodar region

Float fishing rods are used less frequently, but they are more interesting for catching carp. If somewhere in the coastal zone of the river you find places with a depth of 4-5 m, or even more, then be sure to fish this area. The float and sinker must be sliding. The float, when adjusted to a certain depth, is kept from moving towards the fishing rod by a locking knot. The olive sinker is kept from moving towards the hook using beads or silicone stoppers. The leash should be 100-150mm long, and the olive sinker should not move onto it from the main line when moving.

More often, fishing with a float rod has to be done from a boat. In this case, special precautions are required to maintain silence. The watercraft is placed on strong anchors to avoid its movement during fishing - the carp does not take well to a moving bait. The ropes from the anchors should be positioned as flat as possible, moving away from the boat to the sides.

For catching carp, a fishing rod built on the basis of a carbon fiber telescope 4.5 m long and with markings indicating that it is a carp rod is quite suitable. The inscription “carper” is easy to understand even without knowing English. You need a strong fishing line; a cord with a cross-section of at least 0.3 mm is quite appropriate. Modern products also work quite well with pass rings. The reel can be inertia-free, with a line reserve of 100 m, but it is better to use a multiplier reel. You need high-quality hooks, size no smaller than No. 8, with a straight tip and a short shank, preferably caraz.

Catching carp in Kuban

Carp bait

When fishing for carp, bait is required . Branded mixtures are suitable as bait. For bait, it is better to use a degraded version of the nozzle. For example, if you are supposed to fish for a carp while crawling, the fish are fed with chopped worms mixed with a rich skeleton (the inedible part of the bait).

The bait is served at the same time, trying to teach the carp to regularly take food in the same place. This is done at dusk or dawn, when most small fish are not active and cannot remove the bait before the carp approach.

Nozzles for carp

Nozzles must be appropriate for the season. In spring and autumn, preference is given to animal baits, and in summer - plant baits. The traditional set of baits for carp begins with a crawl and ends with bread balls. The best products for preparing mixtures are pea and potato puree, pearl barley and oatmeal, as well as thickly steamed semolina porridge. At the height of summer, carp are caught using cherries, raspberries and even gooseberries!

In recent years, the fisherman’s arsenal of baits has been significantly enriched with proprietary mixtures and flavors. Currently, to prepare high-quality boilies for carp, athletes use up to 70 different substances. Many amateur fishermen have begun to widely use branded baits and semi-finished products for their manufacture. Most often, they prepare a traditional base - dough or porridge - and then flavor it with various mixtures like “Tutti-frutti”, etc.

When using flavorings, you need to keep in mind that fish’s sense of smell is much more subtle than a human’s. In this sense, the carp may well compete with the shepherd. He senses the presence of 1g of odorous substance in 100 km3 of water ! Therefore, if you carelessly splash oils into a nozzle or bait, you can get the opposite effect to the desired one. The bait will irritate the carp’s sense of smell, and the fish will move away from it.

Animal baits for carp are well known to most, even novice fishermen. Worms, larvae, maggots and bloodworms always give a positive result . However, there are some attachments that can be very successful but are rarely used. This primarily applies to cancerous cervix. If, during the molting period of crayfish, the carp is fed the cleaned meat of this bottom dweller, the largest individuals of this fish will become prey. It should be said that the largest carp in Europe, which weighed approximately 48 kg, was caught on a molting crayfish!

Fishing for carp on the Kuban River

When fishing, the carp fights fiercely and until the end. There is no need to expect him to give up like a bream gasping for air - this never happens. After hooking, this fish tends to go to a place with such a snag that no fishing line can overcome it. Sometimes the carp manages to cut the fishing line with its jagged dorsal fin, but this happens by accident. The carp is very stubborn, so you should be careful at all stages of removing it from the water: the fish can leave even when the fisherman thinks that he has already won. A landing net for carp fishing needs to be wide and durable, with a handle 1.5-2.0 m long.

Types of river fish in the Krasnodar region

More than one hundred and fifty species of fish live in the Krasnodar region. Various types of fish are reared in pond farms, where larvae are artificially raised and then dumped into real waters such as rivers, lakes, and seas. The most common fish is the common pike . This predator lives in coastal thickets, where it waits for its prey. Pike feed only on small fish, frogs, and sometimes birds that land on the water.

Roach - lives in fresh waters and overgrown algae. The length of her body ranges from approximately twenty-five to thirty-five centimeters. It can be distinguished from other fish by its eyes, as they are orange in color with a red spot at the top. Roach in the Azov-Black Sea basin is called ram.

How not to mention such a fish as carp , it lives in fresh standing waters with algae. Its maximum weight is about sixteen kilograms, and its body length is up to one meter. He lives no more than thirty years. It feeds on different types of worms, mollusks, larvae and various algae. Bream lives in the rivers and lakes of the Krasnodar region . This is a very valuable fish. A special breeding farm was created for its cultivation.

And in overgrown reservoirs there is golden crucian carp . It has a tall body of golden color, with a light belly. This fish is able to survive in the most unfavorable environments. In places where there is very little food, golden crucian carp can form a dwarf form up to twelve centimeters long. In winter, if the water freezes, it is buried in the silt. Silver crucian carp is no different from gold carp, only in color. Lives in the same places, eats the same. Only silver crucian carp grows faster than gold carp, it weighs no more than one kilogram. Its length is up to fifty centimeters. There are no male goldfish, there are only females, and they are fertilized by males of other cyprinids. They feed on plant debris.

In the Limans there is catfish - this is the largest fish in Russia. Its length is about three meters and its weight is about one hundred kilograms. In other reservoirs, catfish can reach three hundred kilograms. It feeds on fish, frogs, and waterfowl. Fish such as catfish are usually caught at night. Perch is common in fresh waters.

Perch is a trash fish. It feeds on small fish that it waits in overgrown algae. Anglers easily catch perch using a spoon. Also in fresh waters you can find more than ten species of gobies - bubyr, grasshopper, round goby and others. The largest bull is the whip, it exceeds more than thirty centimeters. Gobies are in great demand among fishermen.

There is a spawning ban on fishing in the Krasnodar Territory

A pleasant pastime with a fishing rod near a pond can turn into serious trouble for those who do not know the rules of fishing. A particularly large number of restrictions exist during the spring spawning fishing ban. However, even under these conditions, you can legally engage in your favorite hobby. You just need to comply with all the requirements for fishermen in the spring.

The ban on spring fishing for aquatic biological resources has existed for a long time, but still every year its introduction causes indignation among individual fishermen. They say they are depriving people of their last outlet.

In fact, everything is not so tragic. You can catch fish, but not everywhere. This was done only for one good purpose: to preserve and, if possible, increase for future generations all the biological diversity of our rivers, estuaries, and seas.

Where can

You can fish all year round in paid reservoirs. Every year there are more and more of them in the region.

But there are subtleties here. The tenant must have documents that give the right to operate the fishing area intended for recreational and recreational fishing - only then is paid fishing legal. Such reservoirs can be identified by signs warning that the pond, part of the river, etc. belongs to a specific owner.

In addition, according to the Federal Law “On Fisheries”, owners of areas where money is charged for recreational fishing must issue vouchers to their clients, which are the equivalent of an agreement between the fisherman and the owner (tenant) of a paid reservoir. In addition, having a voucher allows you to legally take your catch home.

As for free fishing, it is also available. Here you can use the principle: what is not prohibited is permitted. So, throughout the year you cannot fish from bridges and other hydraulic structures, under overpasses and at a certain distance in both directions from such objects (see fishing rules. - Author's note.

). During the spawning season, estuaries are added here.

That is, from the shore, at the required distance from hydraulic structures, fish can be caught with a fishing rod all year round, if the limit of ten hooks per person is not exceeded. Everyone decides for themselves how many fishing rods to distribute them on. There are also weight restrictions. One fisherman has the right to catch no more than five kilograms per day. If you are lucky enough to pull out a larger trophy, you must stop fishing and take this particular fish as a catch. Only today there are no restrictions on crucian carp - catch it for fun.

Ignorance is no excuse

At this time, the most pressing task is not to violate fishing rules during the three-month period to protect fish spawning, which will last until the end of May. In fact, it’s not difficult to figure it out if you approach the issue systematically.

— To avoid unpleasant surprises caused by ignorance of the laws, I advise every amateur fisherman to familiarize himself with the order of Rosrybolovstvo dated 09/08/2008 No. 149 (as amended on 01/22/2009) “On the approval of fishing rules for the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin” (registered with the Ministry of Justice RF 16.10.2008, No. 12469). This book can be purchased in fishing stores or on the Internet. All the rules of fishing are described there very clearly, advises senior state inspector of the Azov-Kuban department of state control, supervision and protection of aquatic biological resources of the Azov-Black Sea territorial administration of the Federal Fisheries Agency Grigory Sokolovsky.

We will explain to those fishermen who did not have time to purchase a useful book.

From February 1 to April 30, fishing is prohibited in the Kuban and Protoka rivers. Also prohibited are the following estuaries: Beysugsky, Vityazevsky, Kurchansky, Bolshoy Akhtanizovsky, Maly Akhtanizovsky, Kiziltashsky, Bugazsky and Tsokur. The three-month period also applies to groups of estuaries: Chelbasskaya, Sladkovskaya, Zhesterskaya, Akhtaro-Grivenskaya, Kulikovo-Kurchanskaya.

Until May 31, fishing is prohibited in the Yeisk Estuary and Khanskoe Lake.

An even longer fishing restriction is in effect in the Primorsko-Akhtarsky region. Azov estuaries: Wide, Red, Gruzsky, Kagatsky, Tattered, Akhtarsky, Small Nameless, Big Nameless, Krapivkievsky, Big Kirpilsky, Small Kirpilsky, Golden Gate, Big Orliny, Small Orliny, Karlyk, Sukhoi, Krivoy, Safonievsky, Boykievsky, Beysugsky, Kushchevaty, Sladky, Gorky, Krugly, Gniloy, Palchikievsky are closed to fishermen until June 15.

The ban has just begun and will also last until June 15 in the areas: Bryukhovetsky, Ust-Labinsky, Temryuksky, Sochi, Kalininsky. Here, fishing is prohibited in all water bodies for fishing purposes.

In the Yeisk Estuary, it will also be prohibited to fish until June 15 from the village of Glafirovka towards the village of Nikolaevka (along the coastline for two kilometers), from the village of Shirochanka to the village of Zelenaya Roshcha. And in the Seversky district, the Kryukovskoe reservoir falls under similar restrictions: along the northern dam - from the village of Lvovskoye to the village of Anastasievskaya, along the eastern dam - from MTF No. 4 to the "Reserve" storage pond, along the Peschanka River - to the "Reserve" storage pond, along south-eastern dam - from pumping station No. 12 to pumping station No. 4, including the mouth of the Il River - to the Nagorny Canal bridge.

In addition, there is a significant list of places where fishing is prohibited all year round. This list can be obtained on the website of the Azov-Black Sea Territorial Administration of the Federal Fisheries Agency.

How much?

Violation of fishing rules can cause serious damage to your personal budget. Particularly “lucky” fishermen with rich illegal catch may also face criminal liability. Is it worth the risk? Everyone will answer this question for themselves, assessing how much extra fish (exceeding the maximum allowed five kilograms per day) or fish that are completely prohibited from catching can cost.

One pike perch will cost 3,305 rubles if it is caught in the wrong place, or the norm of two copies per day is exceeded, or it is less than 38 cm in length.

Som less than 60 cm will cost 925 rubles per piece. The same amount per specimen will cost grass carp (45 cm), carp (35), fisherman (22), barbel (20), asp (35), silver carp (50) and pike (30).

Ram, bream, sabrefish and tench will cost 500 rubles apiece.

Pilengas and herring - 685 rubles per copy.

Also, you should not catch goby, bullhead, or chub. Their prices are not so high, but the damage can be quite significant.

We've arrived

The “cherry on the cake” is transport. It’s no secret that many fishermen strive to drive closer to the reservoir and park. Often this approach is a violation of the law and is fraught with trouble.

Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, Art. 8.42, provides for liability for “the use of the coastal protective strip of a water body, the water protection zone of a water body in violation of restrictions on economic and other activities” and punishes violators with a fine of 3,000-4,500 rubles. As you can see, the amount is quite significant, and what’s most offensive is that this article of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation does not, in principle, provide for a warning, which means that in any case you will have to pay for illegal parking if a claim arises. To avoid getting fined, you should read the Water Code of the Russian Federation. Its article 65 (subparagraph 4 of paragraph 15) states: “The width of the water protection zone of rivers or streams is established from their source for rivers or streams with a length of:

- up to ten kilometers - in the amount of fifty meters;

- from ten to fifty kilometers - in the amount of one hundred meters;

- from fifty kilometers or more - in the amount of two hundred meters."

Thus, it is impossible to park cars closer to this threshold unless there is a specialized parking lot or the road does not run along the reservoir. Then you can park, but only on a hard surface and without violating traffic rules. The main thing is to remember that fishing only brings complete pleasure when it is absolutely legal.
